<div>Campus Health (CH) is a multi-specialty ambulatory college health clinic providing quality, and affordable health care for eligible students and spouses. Annually, CH has more than 80,000 patient encounters, which includes Primary Care and Women&rsquo;s Health as well as specialty clinics in sports medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, physical therapy, counseling and psychological services, travel clinic and allergy clinic. Weekend acute care is provided from 8-5 PM. On site ancillary services include pharmacy, OTC pharmacy, Student Stores pharmacy, medical laboratory, and radiology.<br>

Campus Health has been continuously accredited since 1986 by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. All personnel are trained in the concepts and principles of Performance Improvement and serve as team members and leaders in shaping and defining the organization as it strives to provide quality and safe care.<br>

Campus Health collaborates with Student Wellness and Campus Recreation and other Student Affairs partners to provide education and outreach to assist in keeping the campus population healthy.<br>

Education and research comprise another important function of CH. CH provides clinical rotations and practicums for students in the School of Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Public Health, Department of Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Health and Radiology. The Patient Access and Billing Manager will oversee revenue cycle management of the entire third-party insurance filing process in support of reimbursement for patients and insurance payers for Campus Health, including supervising the employees in the Registration and Patient Accounts departments that are responsible for referral management, claim filing, insurance verification, and registration.<br>

Duties included ensuring proper student eligibility, demographic and insurance information is collected at the time of check-in, verifying insurance eligibility, and obtaining any required authorizations, electronically submitting claims through a clearing house, correcting coding, following up on pending/denied claims, identifying coding trends, posting all electronic remittance advice, monitoring in-network insurance contracts to ensure proper payments are being received and reviewing monthly aging reports to identify trends and work any outstanding accounts receivable. This position will serve as expert for payer policies, procedures, and practices.<br>

In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring all financial policies and procedures are being followed for auditing purposes, JCAHO standards for being followed for referral management and is responsible for completing payer credentialing for all new providers.</div>

Inpatient Pharmacy Tech II Certified - Central Inpatient Pharmacy

<div><p><b>Description</b>
</p><p>New Graduate RN needed for the GI Surgery &amp; Surgical Oncology Acute Care Unit/ 6 Memorial. This is a 36 hours/week, day/night and weekend rotation, with flexible self-scheduling and is eligible for an extensive benefit package. This position qualifies for incentives to eligible applicants. It is expected that applicants will have their RN license prior to the first day of employment.</p><p>
Our surgical oncology physician leaders are under the Surgical Oncology Division. This division is affiliated with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. These physician leaders are nationally renowned for their expertise in improving colorectal, GI, and endocrine malignancy through clinical excellence, medical education, and research. Similarly, our GI physicians are known for their efforts in enhancing patient care for upper and lower gastrointestinal patients. Lastly, we are recognized nationally as a Bariatric Center for Excellence.</p><p></p><p>
Our patient populations require close post-operative observation, occasional remote cardiac telemetry, early aggressive mobilization, pulmonary hygiene, extensive physical therapies, IV, central line/PICC line care, administration of TPN, anticoagulation, oxygen therapy, pain management, blood product administration, intake/output and ostomy care. Additionally, multiple tube/drain care to include, chest tubes, Foley catheters, NG tubes, G-tubes, J-tubes, J/P drains, and rectal tubes. Extensive complex wound management along with multimodal nutritional support is given throughout the course of hospitalization.</p><p></p><p>

<div>The Research Project Manager for Carmichael Lab will manage research project development from beginning to end across a variety of Artificial Intelligence pursuits in healthcare. Reports directly to Prof. Carmichael. Coordinate the development and implementation of many aspects of large AI studies. A particular emphasis is placed on studies involving Digital Pathology data and/or clinical notes. Responsibilities include overall project direction, supervision and direction of data collection and analysis, database management, grant support, presentation development, reporting and planning, and staff supervision. This position will collaborate with investigators across multiple departments, centers, and schools at UNC and elsewhere. Strong interpersonal skills and experience with interacting and working with diverse and/or vulnerable populations are essential to this position. The position requires substantial capacity to independently manage and coordinate research activities and staff across multiple projects. It also requires some programming background along with an inclination to learn and use other technologies such as large language models.</div>
