 The Adult Acute Care Unit is a 30-bed, medical surgical unit. We serve a variety of patient populations including the Family Medicine service along with specialized surgical patients. They are unlicensed staff members who work under direct supervision of a nurse to assist the members of the nursing team in provision of multiple types of patient care in in-patient and out-patient care areas. Their work requires familiarity with a wide variety of nursing procedures used in delivering patient care.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Independently obtain and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a 50% Patient Care Technician to under direct supervision, assists the members of the Nursing team in provision of multiple types of patient care in in-patient and out-patient care areas. Their work requires familiarity with a wider variety of nursing procedures used in delivering patient care.<div> 
Position Responsibilities</div>
