<div>The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient centered Care Team Coordinator (CTC) 100% (40 hours a week) to work in our Dermatology Bettendorf Clinic. This position supports our team-based care where you&rsquo;ll spend more time with patients and expand your physician-support and administrative duties, increases the efficiency and productivity of the physician and anticipates future needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic. Accurately documents events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. Our team specialize in the care of everyone in the family, in every generation, from birth, for life.
Our Care Team Coordinator (Medical Assistant) provide full medical and surgical services, from general dermatology care to specialty services, to patients with skin diseases. We use the latest techniques to care for a range of conditions affecting the skin. We also work closely with you to take precautions against skin cancer, infections, dry skin and the aging effects of sun exposure. Our services include treatment of cosmetic skin problems such as age spots and birthmarks and the removal of unwanted hair and tattoos. We offer chemical peels, Botox injections and dermal fillers. We also offer general dermatology services, and we offer quick scheduling for appointments.
Our Care Team Coordinator's (Medical Assistant) accompany the physicians or medical providers into the examination rooms in order to transcribe the clinician&rsquo;s and care team&rsquo;s encounter with the patients in real time. They accurately and thoroughly document the encounter with our patients as it is being performed by the providers, which may include documentation in the following sections: problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.

University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) physician. Appointment rank is open and may be to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest. Appointment rank to Instructor of Pediatrics (non-tenure or clinical track) may also be considered. The individual selected will join the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as developmental and behavioral specialist. 
The Division is comprised of five faculty, 3 LIPs, and a DBP Fellow, and is a national leader in research, with NIH-funded grants, including the Hawkeye Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (Hawk-IDDRC), as well as industry-sponsored clinical research. In the 2024-25 edition of &ldquo;Best Children&rsquo;s Hospitals,&rdquo; U.S. News &amp; World Report ranked our program as one of the top 50 hospitals for behavioral health. The Division works closely with the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD), which has been Iowa&rsquo;s University Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) since 1972. The Center for Disabilities and Development integrates a broad array of clinical services in one location, including developmental and behavioral pediatrics, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, social work, education, audiology, and nursing, and thus provides an ideal environment for exceptional patient care, education and research.  Summary
 
 
 
 Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM/ANM (nurse manager/assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.
 
 
 
 Duties To Include
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Staff will support our Neurosurgery Clinic patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for facilitating the smooth flow of patients through the clinic through interaction with patients, families, and staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in clinic with physical examination of patient and related treatments, including but not limited to patient history, medication records, allergies, and immunizations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages internal and external medical records to ensure that accurate and complete data is available for patient appointments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Administers routine oral, rectal, or injectable medications not requiring a high level of skill or nursing judgment. These are medications that can only be administered by certified medical assistants or medical assistants who have completed a formal accredited training program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs routine laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood work
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs patient care related to vital signs, reviewing medications, allergies, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing, removing staples and/or sutures, assisting with dressing changes, administering immunizations as ordered, and other duties as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Takes and uploads photos of wounds and Plastic Surgery Reconstruction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Setting up sterile field and assisting with Plastics and General Surgery minor procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stocks room with appropriate medical supplies and appropriate linens.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends and participates in staff meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identifies vaccination needs for specific patient populations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs related clerical tasks including answering phones, and providing information to other departments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Treats matters with confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates consideration and respect for patients, families, and co-workers always.

<div>The Iowa River Landing is seeking a 100% Patient Care Technician to support the Allergy and Rheumatology clinics. Under direct supervision, assists the members of the nursing team in provision of multiple types of patient care in out-patient care areas. The position will support both direct patient care and indirect patient care completing paperwork and prior authorizations. Duties may involve the use of electronic word/data processing equipment and/or conventional office equipment.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Independently obtain and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.</li><li>
Carries out medical asepsis when performing skills and tasks.</li><li>
Performs simple diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as point of care testing.</li><li>
Performs special duties as taught and directed by the nurse in charge including but not limited to ECG lead/12 lead placement.</li><li>
