Patient populations on these units consist of the most acute medical patients including multisystem failure, renal failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome and sepsis.</p><p></p><p><b>
POSITION SUMMARY:</b><br>

As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our Patient Care Technicians provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families. This practice specializes in the care of patients with multiple myeloma as well as patients requiring specific procedures in our procedure clinic. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to work in this invigorating and collaborative environment.

This APP will deliver direct care to outpatients with two days of the work week dedicated to working directly with the multiple myeloma team and two days dedicated to working in the procedure clinic. With an interdisciplinary team approach, this provider will promote a collaborative relationship between providers, professional nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure continuity of patient care in the management of their disease and related issues as well as to develop expertise in the field.

Within this role, the advanced practice provider will be responsible for a panel of patients.
