 Wet Utilities Design Engineer will be responsible for designing water supply, firefighting, irrigation, stormwater, and wastewater networks in accordance with Oman authority standards. The role requires strong technical skills in hydraulic design, preparation of construction documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This position is ideal for an engineer with around 5 years of experience in wet utilities design for infrastructure or development projects.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare detailed designs for water supply, TSE/irrigation, wastewater, and stormwater networks in line with Oman authority regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, network modeling, and design layouts using relevant engineering software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare drawings, design reports, BOQs, technical notes, and specifications for tender and construction phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of wet utility systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review topographical surveys, hydrological studies, and geotechnical data to inform design decisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct wet utility network modeling (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with Oman authorities (e.g., PAEW/MADAYN/Municipality) for design submissions, approvals, and technical clarifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform site visits to gather design inputs and verify existing utility conditions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support senior engineers in value engineering, design validation, and optimization efforts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to technical queries from contractors, clients, and project stakeholders during construction or permitting stages.

 Qualifications

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 5 years of experience in wet utilities design, preferably within infrastructure or urban development projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of Oman authority standards for water supply, sewerage, stormwater, and irrigation systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in design and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, EPANET, or similar.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good understanding of hydraulic principles, pipe material specifications, manhole design, and pumping system basics.

Fill in the Projects related report and agree the actions with the Service Manager or Operation prior to site testing and commissioning or modification MV , LV Switch gear and Automation PLC .</li><li>
Accomplish the requested preliminary activities like permissions, Gate pass , power on/shutdown permits , application programs download and documentation check using the proper software tools and instrumentation, according to Company testing procedures</li><li>
Verify the correctness of all the hardware connections between the system (MV &amp; LV System, Operator Interfaces and other network devices) under test making sure that the installed cables and wiring are made according to the related documents and are working properly</li><li>
Properly install and verify the correct functionality of all the installed devices in accordance with FAT results using diagnostic and application tools and following the project documentation as reference</li><li>
Feedback to Engineering department for improvements in schemes, corrections of drawings or any other modifications if required by customer at site after supply.</li><li>
Solve hardware and functional incongruence and mistakes is any found during Site testing phase, modifying the wrong hardware or software items involved and testing again the new hw or software configuration</li><li>
Update the system documentation with proper mark-ups and software configuration periodic updates, maintaining due trace of all the changes, following Company testing procedure indications</li><li>
Obtain the S.A.T (Factory Acceptance Test) certificate from the Customer at the completion of the job, eventually with the list of the pending items not yet completed, in cooperation with the Project Leader and the Project Manager</li><li>
Collects all the update documentation at the conclusion of the Commissioning job and send it to the operation manager or Service Manager for the delivery of the &ldquo;As Commissioned&rdquo; documents to the Engineering Department if changes have been made in agreement with Engineering Department whenever applicable.</li><li>
Collects all the Certificates and the other requested documents to complete the so called &ldquo;Log Project Book&rdquo; for the specific project and deliver it to the Project Leader and Project Manager for Contractual use</li><li>
Attend, together with the Customer, third party devices official testing when included in the scope of supply directly at sub suppliers premises</li></ul> 
Qualifications for the role

 Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering or Science Discipline

 Understands the levels of detail required to support the early phase decision making process for pre-FEED phases (pre-feasibility, concept, feasibility, pre-FEED etc)
