 Primary Objective
 
 
 
 To manage all engineering activities associated with a Mega Projects PMC contract as part of an integrated Client/Company team.
 
 
 
 Specific Accountabilities
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Responsible for the engineering administrative function, directing and consulting several groups engaged in interrelated engineering responsibilities
 </li>

 Plan and manage the execution of the multi-discipline FEED/Conceptual Design Studies &amp; EPC engineering in both local and affiliated international offices

 Preparation and administration of design budgets, estimates, forecasts and schedules.
 </li>
 <li>
 Recruitment and Development of a technically competent, cohesive and functional engineering team
 </li>
 <li>
 Be responsible for the timeliness and technical correctness of all works performed by the Engineering Team
 </li>
 <li>
 Technical Integrity - take responsibility for the technical integrity of the team, addressing working methods, tools, quality assurance, peer reviews, communication with team members on other projects.

 Manage value improvement processes

 Ensure all design engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standards with regard to quality, cost, safety and performance

 Safety &ndash; Responsible for personal safety and adherence to safe working practices for the Oil &amp; Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&amp;S procedures

 Essential Skills/experience

 B. Sc., Engg (Mech., Chem., Civil, Electrical.) from an accredited college or university.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have experience in oil &amp; gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have experience in related designation / specialty.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have experience in Middle East
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have a proven track record of managing multiple projects in Design &amp; Engineering in the oil and gas industry

 We are looking for a Lead Project Engineer Combat Systems (CS) that will be inserted in the in the Program Management Team of Fincantieri Services Doha, the company dedicated to the life cycle management of the naval vessels of the Qatari Navy.
 
 
 The figure will operate on an important foreign program that requires to be relocated in Doha, Qatar, at least for 2-3 years.
 
 
 The Lead Project Engineer CS has the responsibility of monitoring the program developing during all its phases, with a specific focus on the Combat Systems of the vessels, guarantying for its compliance with the contractual specifications agreed with the Customer and identifying corrective actions.
 
 
 The Lead Project Engineer CS support the Program Manager acting as the Technical reference with the Customer, evaluating any extra request and scheduling periodical technical meetings to ensure the optimal engineering and development process.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Activities and Responsibilities
 
 
 
 The Lead Project Engineer CS has the following responsibilities:
 
 
 &bull; To manage the Maintenances&rsquo; plans and programs, ensuring the compliance with the contractual agreements, negotiated with the Client, and the compliance with the cost estimations;
 
 
 &bull; To guarantee and to monitor the respects of technical requirements, acting as focal point during all the life-cycle management activities, in particular the maintenance activities on the Combat Systems;
 
 
 &bull; To oversee with the Project Manager the solving of the variances with detailed plans, providing indications and resolution times to the functions involved;
 
 
 &bull; To manage the relationships with the Combat Systems suppliers;
 
 
 &bull; To manage meetings with the Customer in order to solve the conflicts.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 &bull; Master&rsquo;s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or ICT Engineering;
 
 
 &bull; Working experience of at least 3-5 years in a similar role in a company that manage complex projects in the defense industry;
 
 
 &bull; Advanced knowledge of combat systems, with a focus on the naval systems;
 
 
 &bull; Fluent knowledge of English (both speaking and writing)
 
 
 &bull; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; good knowledge of Microsoft Project and SAP;
 
 
 &bull; Other soft skills that are considered essentials are flexibility, interpersonal skills, team-working attitude, problem solving, economic sensitivity, goal-oriented approach.
