 We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Batch team within the Global Intelligence Platforms organisation, where you will play a central role in building and evolving Mobius - our internal unified analytics and data platform that powers data workloads at scale across Just Eat Takeaway.
 
 
 Mobius is a Kubernetes-native, declarative data platform that abstracts away infrastructure complexity so that data engineers across the business can provision and manage batch and streaming pipelines through a simple, expressive API. As part of the Batch team, you will own the components that make this a reality for batch processing.

Our Tech Stack.</h3>
The iOS application is built 100% with Swift, with a mix of SwiftUI and UIKit. We use REST APIs to connect to our backend. The CI/CD pipelines run using Bitrise.
Android is built natively with Kotlin. Next to the customer application, we have two internally facing applications. One mobile React Native application and one web-based, built in Typescript and Next.JS.
Our backend stack is heavily based around Python, with our main API written in that language, as well as several microservices. For updating our fleet in real-time, we use a microservice which is written in Rust. Apply agentic working practices by breaking complex questions into clear briefs for AI assistants and applying human judgement and validation checks to ensure results are accurate and useful.
Communicate Insight Clearly
Tell compelling stories with data through concise analysis, presentations, and dashboards. Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to audiences ranging from product squads to senior leadership. Help stakeholders interpret results and make confident, data-informed decisions.
Improve Measurement Quality
Work with Product and Engineering colleagues to ensure the right product data capture is in place. Define tracking requirements that make future product decisions easier and more reliable.
Requirements:
Product Analytics Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Product Analytics, Digital Analytics or a closely related analytical role where you have used data to influence product decisions, feature development or customer experience improvements. Technical Proficiency
SQL and Python/R - Advanced skills for deep-dive analysis, statistical work, and visualisation.
Web Analytics &ndash; Familiarity with / desire to work with Adobe Analytics to analyse user behaviour.
AI Tools &ndash; Experience of tools like ChatGPT / Codex, Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate but not replace analytical reasoning.
Familiarity with Snowflake, Tableau, Databricks or similar platforms is useful.
Stakeholder Influence
Ability to work effectively with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers and senior stakeholders. Answer strategic questions, advocate a data-driven culture and empower stakeholders to use data well. Challenge assumptions constructively to influence strategy and prioritise product roadmaps to deliver better outcomes.
Communication And Collaboration
Fluent in English, with strong presentation skills. Comfortable working in cross-functional and culturally diverse teams across different locations and time zones.
