 The Norfolk Department of Human Services is a multifunctional agency providing services to strengthen children, families, and individuals. NDHS provides social services and juvenile services. We are seeking an experienced IT Systems &amp; Communications Technician to support the our Navy customer. In this role, you will provide install support and conduct maintenance on various equipment onsite at Naval Station Norfolk and deployed platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Perform day to day installation, monitoring, testing and Tier 1-2 maintenance actions for network devices (routers and switches), communications equipment, Windows desktop systems and associated peripherals by installing, updating, conducting routine health checks, and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues.</li><li>

The manufacturing technician will repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment and perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation.</li><li>
Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, and non-conformances.</li><li>
Perform current injection, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers.</li><li>
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections.</li><li>
