Supporting high-profile breaking news coverage through multimedia production for digital stories and live blogs</div></li><li><div>
Reaching out to external sources via phone and social media to verify information and gather content</div></li><li><div>
Contributing to original written content as needed</div></li><li><div>
Acting as a point of contact for reporters, writers, and editors to support multimedia production needs</div></li><li><div>
Adhering to detailed SEO requirements</div></li><li><div>
Incorporating edits from supervisors</div></li><li><div>
Creating engaging online quizzes tied to trending or high-interest news topics</div></li><li><div>
Managing multiple assignments across a wide range of topics</div></li><li><div>
Pitch compelling stories for digital platforms</div></li><li><div>
Monitor wires, social media, and other broadcast networks for news developments</div></li></ul><div><b><br>
WHAT YOU WILL NEED</b></div><ul><li><div>
A track record of great writing, preferably involving reporting and research</div></li><li><div>
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment</div></li><li><div>
Ability to anticipate the needs of writers, reporters and editors and proactively support content production</div></li><li><div>
Willingness and ability to work weekends and some holidays</div></li><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience</div></li><li><div>
Experience with SEO, working in a CMS (WordPress preferred) and Photoshop is preferred</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with Associated Press style</div></li><li><div>
Curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and skills</div></li><li><div>
Exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM) ) used to assist with research and digital content preparation.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
