Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager (with 5+ years of experience) to oversee all aspects of financial record-keeping and office operations. Join our team to contribute to our mission of operational excellence and financial integrity while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and journal entries using accounting software.</li><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Conduct detailed account reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Oversee ADP payroll processing, tax filings, and related reporting requirements while maintaining meticulous records.</li><li>Maintain organized financial records for audits, governmental reporting, and internal review purposes.</li><li>Supervise administrative tasks such as managing office supplies, coordinating vendor relationships, and supporting team communication.</li><li>Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and cost control initiatives to support organizational goals.</li><li>Ensure adherence to all relevant financial policies and procedures while continuously seeking process improvements for efficiency.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software.</li><li>General knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation techniques, and general ledger management.</li><li>Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations.</li><li>Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately using 10-key typing skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders. How You'll Contribute<ul><li>
Review and approve accounts payable, manage wire transfers.</li><li>
Perform reconciliations of payroll, revenue, contributions, investments, etc.</li><li>
Review reconciliations performed by the Bookkeeper.</li><li>
Lead the month-end and fiscal year-end close; produce monthly reports.</li><li>
Maintain net assets detail/roll forward.</li><li>
Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting.</li><li>
Lead annual audit (990, single audit, DOE filings) and maintain audit files.</li><li>
Approve payroll, tax documents, and work-study reimbursements, balance payroll reports.</li><li>
Review/oversee COBRA tracking, ACA notifications, and employee changes.</li><li>
Prepare employment verification, handle unemployment claims and payroll audits.</li><li>
Prepare ACA, 403b, W-2, and FWS documents.</li><li>
Maintain benefit information, prepare and distribute enrollment materials.</li><li>
Maintain internal controls.</li><li>
Train and supervise the Office Manager and Bookkeeper.</li><li>
Oversee Great Plains accounting system .</li><li>
Delegate compliance action items, as necessary; facilitate and ensure completion of all compliance reporting.</li></ul> 

Experience and Skills:
About You
<ul><li>6+ years of accounting experience with similar responsibilities, preferably in a small office.</li><li>
B.S. in accounting, finance, economics, or similar; CPA preferred.</li><li>
Experience with MS Dynamics Great Plains, CAMS strongly preferred.</li><li>
Experience with Paylocity a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FASB Pronouncements, and IRS regulations.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.</li></ul>

The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments, and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $75,000 to $85,000 annualized and other competitive benefits.
