Role Summary

Chargeback leakage at ChaiVision is currently unmanaged. There is no dedicated owner for retail vendor compliance, no systematic dispute process, and no visibility into what is being lost to Amazon Vendor Central deductions and retail penalties. This role closes that gap entirely.As the Retail &amp; Vendor Compliance &amp; Chargeback Manager, you will own the full chargeback and deduction recovery lifecycle across all of ChaiVision's retail accounts &mdash; Amazon, Walmart, Target, and beyond. You will build the systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure that give ChaiVision full visibility into deduction losses and a structured, data-driven path to recovering them. 
What You'll Do

Chargeback &amp; Deduction Recovery
<ul>
<li>Own the end-to-end chargeback and deduction recovery process across Amazon Vendor Central and all retail accounts.</li>
<li>Audit all incoming deductions, classify by root cause (shortage, compliance violation, EDI error, labeling), and file disputes with supporting documentation.</li>
<li>Build and maintain a chargeback tracker with recovery status, aging, and win/loss rates reported weekly to the Head of Logistics.</li>
<li>Escalate unresolvable disputes and manage external relationships with retail compliance contacts.</li>
</ul>
Retail Vendor Portal &amp; Compliance Management
<ul>
<li>Manage all retail vendor portal submissions &mdash; Walmart, Target, Amazon, and others &mdash; ensuring compliance with routing guides, labeling standards, and EDI requirements.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the 3PL and warehouse teams to ensure shipment documentation meets retailer standards before goods leave the facility.</li>
<li>Build an internal knowledge base of compliance rules, deduction codes, and dispute processes for each retail account.</li>
</ul>
Root Cause Analysis &amp; Process Improvement
<ul>
<li>Identify recurring compliance violations and work with the operations and logistics teams to eliminate root causes.</li>
<li>Develop and implement proactive compliance protocols that reduce repeat deductions across all retail channels.</li>
<li>Partner cross-functionally with Finance on deduction reconciliation and recovery accounting in Sage Intacct.</li>

Role Summary

ChaiVision currently has no owner for its returns P&amp;L. Returns are processed but not managed. There is no disposition strategy, no cost tracking, no recovery optimization, and no visibility into what returns are actually costing the business. That is a margin leak with no one watching it.

This role builds the returns function from scratch. The Returns &amp; Cost Optimization Manager owns the full reverse logistics lifecycle &mdash; from inbound return receipt through disposition, cost reconciliation, and recovery. The goal is not just to process returns faster but to systematically reduce their cost impact and extract maximum recoverable value from every unit that comes back. 
What You'll Do

Returns Function &amp; Process Design
<ul>
<li>Build the returns management function from the ground up &mdash; processes, workflows, tracking, and reporting</li>
<li>Coordinate with 3PL and warehouse partners on returns receiving, inspection, and disposition execution</li>
<li>Monitor the inbound returns queue daily and ensure disposition SLAs are on track</li>
<li>Document all processes you build so the function scales beyond you as the organization grows</li>

Returns P&amp;L &amp; Cost Tracking
<ul>
<li>Own the returns P&amp;L: track all return-related costs including inbound freight, processing, disposition, and write-offs</li>
<li>Work with Finance to ensure returns costs are accurately captured in Sage Intacct and reflected in channel P&amp;Ls</li>
<li>Report weekly to the Head of Logistics on return volume, cost per return, recovery rate, and trend analysis</li>
<li>Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the returns lifecycle</li>

Disposition Strategy &amp; Recovery Optimization

<li>Develop and execute a disposition strategy for returned inventory &mdash; resell, refurbish, liquidate, or destroy &mdash; optimized for cost recovery</li>

Analytics &amp; Cross-Functional Coordination
