Contracting is seeking an experienced Operations &amp; Production Engineer to lead our workshop operations, production teams, and site coordination across multiple trades including steel fabrication, carpentry, joinery, aluminum, WPC, outdoor structures, and fit-out works.The successful candidate must combine strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills, capable of managing people, improving productivity, solving technical challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.This is a leadership role requiring daily coordination between design, procurement, workshop production, logistics, and installation teams while maintaining high standards of quality and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations &amp; Production Management<ul><li>Plan, organize and supervise all daily workshop operations.</li><li>Manage production activities for steel fabrication, carpentry, joinery, aluminum, WPC, pergolas, gates, carports, doors, fences, and custom fabrication works.</li><li>Develop and monitor weekly and monthly production schedules.</li><li>Coordinate between design, procurement, workshop, logistics, and site teams.</li><li>Monitor workshop productivity and continuously improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Ensure projects are completed within planned deadlines.</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; People Management<ul><li>Lead, supervise, and motivate workshop supervisors, foremen, fabricators, carpenters, welders, painters, installers, and laborers.</li><li>Allocate manpower efficiently according to project priorities.</li><li>Conduct daily toolbox talks and production meetings.</li><li>Monitor staff attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.</li><li>Identify training needs and develop team capabilities.</li><li>Build a positive, accountable, and safety-focused working culture.</li><li>Resolve conflicts and operational issues within workshop and site teams.</li><li>Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions or corrective actions where necessary.</li></ul>Fabrication &amp; Technical Responsibilities<ul><li>Review fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and cutting lists.</li><li>Verify BOQs before production.</li><li>Ensure fabrication complies with approved drawings and project specifications.</li><li>Supervise welding, assembly, carpentry works, finishing, galvanizing, powder coating, and painting.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to workshop and installation teams.</li><li>Resolve fabrication, installation, and production challenges quickly.</li></ul>Carpentry &amp; Joinery Operations<ul><li>Supervise production of custom furniture, doors, wardrobes, cabinets, pergolas, wooden cladding, and interior joinery works.</li><li>Ensure accurate cutting, machining, assembly, finishing, and installation.</li><li>Optimize timber utilization and minimize material wastage.</li><li>Coordinate closely with designers to maintain quality and dimensions.</li></ul>Material &amp; Inventory Control<ul><li>Coordinate material planning with procurement.</li><li>Monitor stock levels and material consumption.</li><li>Reduce production waste through proper planning.</li><li>Verify incoming materials before production.</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory records for workshop materials and finished products.</li></ul>Site Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate installation schedules with site supervisors.</li><li>Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and technical coordination.</li><li>Support installation teams with technical guidance.</li><li>Resolve site issues affecting production or installation.</li><li>Coordinate logistics and delivery of fabricated items.</li></ul>Quality Assurance<ul><li>Ensure all fabricated products meet company quality standards.</li><li>Inspect finished products before delivery.</li><li>Maintain quality throughout fabrication and installation.</li><li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives within workshop operations.</li></ul>Health, Safety &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Enforce workshop and site HSE policies.</li><li>Conduct regular safety inspections.</li><li>Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.</li><li>Maintain clean and organized workshop environments.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; Performance Monitoring<ul><li>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.</li><li>Track production KPIs and workforce productivity.</li><li>Report delays, risks, and corrective actions to management.</li><li>Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets.</li></ul>Requirements &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience managing workshop production and fabrication operations.</li><li>Proven experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams in steel fabrication, carpentry, aluminum, or construction.</li><li>Strong knowledge of:</li><li>Structural steel fabrication</li></ul>Add ons:<ul><li>Carpentry &amp;
