 Position is in a Joint Venture Operating Company on the Al Shaheen oil and gas field, one of the largest offshore oil and gas fields in the world. The role is onshore based in Doha, Qatar and is a permanent staff position on a residential basis (5 day working week). Role will require regular offshore trips together with visits to contractor offices and facilities.

 Responsible for ensuring positive HSE performance by personnel, contractors and others working under the guidance of the Maintenance Team Lead Instrumentation and Metering.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, company standards and procedures under the area of responsibility to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance and responsible environmental attitude.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead cross discipline maintenance Engineers &amp; coordinators to provide robust PPM and CM data to support safe and efficient preparation, planning, execution and close out of base operations, campaign and shutdown maintenance activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead and provide first level specialist technical advice and guidance to site/offshore personnel on the maintenance of plant/equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and investigations where required involving maintenance Engineers and coordinators.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide Instrumentation &amp; Metering technical and administrative support to the site base operations; preparation of scopes of work for short term interventions, organization of vendors, supply direct support to site requests (vendors, spare parts, tooling, technical procedures, work packs and work order resourcing.

 Provide Instrumentation &amp; Metering technical and administrative support to campaign and shutdown teams to ensure the overall readiness and execution of scopes in line with campaign shutdown gate criteria process. Work order resourcing.

 Perform risk analysis on deferrals raised on Safety and environmental critical elements under Instrumentation and metering equipment.
 </li>

 Accountable for the non routine maintenance expenses executed in his/her Maintenance discipline

 Accountable for the spare parts stock value in his/her Maintenance discipline
 </li>

 Develop scope of intervention for major preventive and on difficult corrective Maintenance

 Review and challenge design of brown field modification and greenfield project in term of maintainability.

 Responsible for defining the technical information required to create, update, block and delete references stored under its technical authority (in particular the General Specifications and QA / QC requirements), in close collaboration with the Stock Controller , specifically replenishment parameters. (MRP Type and MRP parameters).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure daily communication with NOC-OC T1/T2 and provide support where required on technical/administrative issues. Attend daily video conference call with offshore OTL&rsquo;s and discipline supervisors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Visit offshore sites on regular basis to enhance collaboration and promote the understanding of goals to ensure information flow is maintained efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage the repair process for critical Instrument &amp; Metering equipment, including visits to local vendor workshops and warehouses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide leadership and coaching to all direct reports in the execution of their responsibilities.
 </li>

 Ensure 4 months and 5 weeks planning are optimized, liaise with planning department and attend weekly IOP meetings to ensure gate criteria are achieved. (spares, vendor mobilizations, tooling, shipment, PR&rsquo;s)

 Proactive management of all safety and business critical backlog.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor the efficiency of the maintenance strategies for the maintenance, inspection and operation of plant/equipment

 Participate, as appropriate, in vendor/contractual audits.

 Execution of class 2 modifications (vendor based modifications).
 </li>
 <li>
 According to inspection instructions, manage the ESDV assurance testing.

 Take leading role in management of repairs, overhaul and maintenance of all Instrument &amp; Metering equipment. Drive through weekly inter departmental meetings.

 Ensure all certificates on installed equipment (Instrument &amp; Metering) produced during visits are stored in EDMS.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all certificates on spare parts scheduled to be used offshore (before stock shipment to offshore) are recorded in EDMS (by logistics) &ndash; as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that new Spare Parts are referenced and attached to their equipment through the BOM in PALM
 </li>
 <li>
 Organize the team to verify compliance of technical specification and QA/QC requirement, management of non-conformity and associated dispute with the support of buyer in charge of order
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all direct reports set objectives for themselves; manage the performance of direct reports and provide regular feedback and give guidance on improvements where necessary. Ensure proper target setting and staff performance appraisals against assigned targets in line with NOC performance management guideline.

 Support the drive for Qatarisation

 <li>
 Act as Head of Electrical and Instrumentation on an interim basis as and when required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Anticipate obsolescence, launch the needed upgrade engineering and stock replenishment

 Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of all activities, improve equipment reliability and reduce operating.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as contract representative with ownership and cost management responsibility for key 3rd party operational support services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contractor/vendor performance management.
 </li>

 Share and adopt best practices across the company, support and identify opportunities to enhance consistency and alignment between assets, where practicably possible.

 All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required

 Education
 
 B.Sc. / Engineering Degree or industry recognized technical qualifications supported by industry experience (offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities).
 
 Experience

 Minimum of 10 years&rsquo; experience working in the oil and gas industry in a similar role with at least 3 years in supervisory roles.
 </li>
