The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, maintaining strong product knowledge, and ensuring the store is presented and operated to high standards.</p><p> </p><h2>Job Responsibilities</h2><h3> </h3><h3>1. Customer Service &amp; Sales</h3><ul><li>Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying their needs and preferences.</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service by providing product information, offering alternatives, and cross-selling or upselling products.</li><li>Maintain in-depth knowledge of the store’s product range, ongoing promotions, and brand initiatives.</li><li>Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.</li><li>Achieve and exceed individual and store-level sales targets (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>2. Store Operations</h3><p> </p><ul><li>Ensure merchandise is displayed and replenished in accordance with visual merchandising standards.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the store and fitting rooms.</li><li>Follow stock management processes, including receiving, price tagging, and storing products.</li><li>Assist in periodic stock takes, inventory audits, and reporting of discrepancies.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>3. Cash Handling</h3><p> </p><ul><li>Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently.</li><li>Accurately process customer transactions, returns, and exchanges.</li><li>Handle cash and card transactions in compliance with company policies and procedures.</li></ul><h3> </h3><h3>4. Team Collaboration</h3><p> </p><ul><li>Proactively engage in team meetings, sales huddles, and product knowledge sessions to stay aligned with store goals and initiatives.</li><li>Communicate operational challenges, customer feedback, or product-related issues promptly to the Store Manager to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.</li></ul><h2> </h2><h2>Job Requirements</h2><p> </p><ul><li>Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably in a premium retail, marine, sports, or lifestyle environment.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.</li><li>Confident and proactive approach to selling and achieving sales targets.</li><li>Good product-learning ability and willingness to develop knowledge of marine and leisure products.</li><li>Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or alternatives.</li><li>Basic knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and retail store operations.</li><li>Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.</li><li>Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts when required.</li><li>Fluency in English<strong> </strong>would be an advantage.</li></ul>
