Position Summary
 
 
The Director, Cell Therapy Quality Automation will play an important role in shaping the future of our organization's quality processes. This global position is responsible for the planning, execution, and implementation of next-generation quality processes to support high volume manufacturing processes. The Director will provide quality oversight of projects in supply chain, manufacturing, Quality Control, etc. The Director will be a core member of critical cross-functional teams which identifies the future state cell therapy value stream in conjunction with automated processing. This person will lead projects which integrate advanced technologies and methodologies, ensuring our quality systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Lead the identification, execution, and implementation of cutting-edge quality solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, regulatory, and IT, to ensure quality meet the evolving needs of the business.</li><li>
Drive the adoption of industry best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and enhancing overall quality and business performance.</li><li>
Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and periodic updates to leadership.</li><li>
Provide quality oversight and partnership for cross functional projects</li><li>
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the quality organization, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new ideas and technologies.</li><li>
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new systems implemented and provide enhancements and corrective actions as needed.</li><li>
Act as the quality reviewer or approver of various partner workstream documentation.</li><li>

Qualifications required:

The Associate Director, Cell Therapy Network CQV, is responsible for the network strategy for equipment/facility/utility Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation. The scope encompasses the internal CT manufacturing sites and engagement with external CMOs via Virtual Plant Teams. This role will partner cross-functionally with site CQV leads, site equipment owners, Cell Therapy network Digital Plant leaders, the BMS QMS Qualification Global Process Owner, and CTTO Global Equipment Owners. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Establish strategy and deliver optimized and harmonized CQV approaches across the Cell Therapy network.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with Cell Therapy network Digital Plant and BMS enterprise qualification L2 to synthesize guidance in standards for qualification of equipment with internal computer systems.</li><li>
Oversight of Cell Therapy equipment validation execution across network, ensuring lifecycle management of the standardized approach.</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring all regulatory and GxP compliance items related to Validation are satisfied, maintaining all sites in an inspection-ready status.</li></ul>
Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific/engineering discipline with: 15+ years w/ B.S. or 12 years w/ M.S. or 8 years w/ Ph.D. of experience in biologics or cell therapy GMP manufacturing support.</li><li>
Strong understanding of CMC regulatory requirements, DS &amp; DP manufacturing, and analytical testing.</li><li>
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of ICH guidelines, control strategies, and validation lifecycle frameworks.</li><li>
Ability to effectively utilize project management and Lean Six Sigma tools is a plus.</li><li>

We are seeking a highly skilled, collaborative, and detail-oriented scientist to join our Translational Research team, bringing deep expertise in CAR T cell therapy and a rigorous scientific foundation in immunology, molecular/cell biology, and/or virology. 
 
In this role, you will serve as a Translational Safety Strategy Lead, driving the evaluation of gene-modified CAR T cell product-related genotoxicity in alignment with established study protocols and applicable regulatory guidelines. Your work will span early- and late-stage clinical programs, with particular emphasis on post-marketing settings, ensuring robust and consistent translational safety oversight across a diverse CAR T portfolio. 
 
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead end-to-end translational safety strategies, testing, and reporting across multiple assets and platforms, spanning clinical and commercial programs, ensuring critical alignment with research, clinical development, and medical affair objectives.</li><li>
Oversee complex testing operations, including sample testing workflows, case tracking, data flow, and data management operations; lead in-depth complex case investigations across clinical and commercial settings with scientific rigor and operational precision.</li><li>
Drive continuous process improvements, streamlining data reporting flows and optimizing testing workflows, assay services, and data reporting infrastructure; drive cross-functional efficiency through proactive operational dialogue and stakeholder engagement.</li><li>

This research opportunity is with the McElrath laboratory and the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN). Our lab is recruiting a Research Technician to primarily perform assays to characterize B cell responses via flow cytometry, cell sorting and sequencing on vaccine recipients participating in clinical trials of investigational vaccines for HIV, malaria, tuberculosis (MTB), Ebola and other infectious diseases. They will be responsible for performing and coordinating the assays with other technicians and analyzing the data. They will interpret and report on experimental results and assist with data presentation. They will assist in writing laboratory SOPs, reports, and other documentation. They will report to a staff scientist and work closely with a technical team.</div><div></div><div> 
The HVTN&rsquo;s mission is to facilitate the process of testing preventive vaccines against HIV/AIDS or other infectious diseases. The organization conducts all phases of clinical trials from evaluating experimental vaccines for safety and the ability to stimulate immune responses through to testing vaccine efficacy. The HVTN laboratory is responsible for conducting laboratory-based studies to evaluate the immunogenicity of investigational vaccines.</div><div></div><div>

Responsibilities
Under the immediate direction of a qualified licensed Staff Pharmacist, you will be trained to draw, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with the regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. Many of your duties will include:<ul><li>
