The Director of Enterprise Systems reports to the VP of Enterprise Systems and oversees teams responsible for the strategic execution and implementation and lifecycle of the company&rsquo;s application systems. Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Oversees and manages the application support teams responsible for the Company&rsquo;s enterprise-wide application systems. Motivates, leads, and develops a team of diverse individuals with a variety of experience levels and skill sets. Develops IT management and staff to identify, communicate, and implement business process improvements with on-going exemplary customer support and service.
</li><li>Optimizes the use of the Company&rsquo;s highly complex enterprise systems, including identifying, developing, and implementing new business processes. Builds a solid understanding of business processes and works with business partners to recommend practical solutions. Works with the VP to ensure the team delivery of reliable and effective solutions.</li><li>
Frequently plans, coordinates, and manages projects and resources for application systems with enterprise-wide impact. Coordinates with vendors, internal communications, and other internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate change management.</li><li>
Reviews software and technology options to simplify processes and enhance efficiencies to meet business needs.</li><li>
Monitors progress toward departmental goals and takes action to ensure teams meet stated objectives.</li><li>
Provides technical guidance to staff with issues regarding troubleshooting and resolution. Serves as the technical liaison between enterprise system vendors and other internal IT teams to ensure technical requirements are accurately documented and communicated in a timely manner.</li><li>
Maintains professional knowledge of information technology standards, best practices, laws and regulations, and emerging trends.</li><li>
Travels as needed for meetings, events, and/or professional development.</li><li>

Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, computer science or related technical field required</li><li>
10+ years of IT experience with relational database structures, SQL, and system integrations and managing enterprise-level application systems and upgrades required.</li><li>
Cross-functional project management experience with large scale IT initiatives, including timelines and deliverables
</li><li>Supervisory/management experience at the manager-level or above required.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>

the administrative office, coordinates administrative activities of the department with staff at all levels 
and with the general public, and serves as a representative of the administration office in contact with 
other employees, elected officials and the general public.</div>

<div>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
1. Provides administrative support by performing difficult, diverse, and confidential 
administrative duties in support of the Parks &amp; Recreation Senior Leadership team. 
2. Provides general customer service to the public by greeting visitors and answering the 
telephone. Responds to and resolves difficult and sensitive complaints and inquiries; provides 
general and specialized information and assistance with the area of assignment that may 
require the use of judgment, tact, and sensitivity and the interpretation of policies, rules, and 
procedures as appropriate. 
3. Conducts assigned research; develops recommendations for Senior Leadership Team and 
department wide work methods, operating policy, procedures, and other administrative 
issues. 
4. Performs purchasing activities for the Senior Leadership team using the City&rsquo;s automated 
purchasing system to process purchasing requests and payments, assuring proper budgetary 
coding and approval. Researches availability, quality and price of items to be purchased 
following appropriate purchasing guidelines. 
5. Assists in the preparation and monitoring of the Department&rsquo;s office budget. Reviews 
expenditures, detect possible shortages, and project office budgetary needs. 
6. Receives program registrations and facility reservations. Provides information and answer 
questions about park facilities and recreational programs and events. 
7. Collect monies for fees and donations; keep records of all cash receipts, count and balance 
funds and prepare for daily deposits. 
8. Schedules and coordinates appointments and meetings for the Senior Leadership team, 
ensuring all are kept fully informed on all matters requiring their attention. 
9. Screens telephone calls and visitors requiring considerable judgment to determine how the 
request can best be served; resolves routine and some complex inquiries as qualified or refer 
to appropriate individuals. 
10. Maintains inventory of office supplies and equipment, ordering additional items as required. 
Arranges for the repair and maintenance of office equipment as needed. Run errands locally
