Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Development and Alumni Operations, the Director of Development Administration has management and oversight of multiple operational support functions that serve as the backbone for the fundraising and engagement efforts of the Development and Alumni Relations Division at Rice University. These functions encompass finance, budget, human resources, IT desktop support, and office management for a division of approximately 160 staff members. This individual participates on the team that aids in implementing the vice president&rsquo;s overall strategic vision and strategy for the division, providing specific updates to the team related to administrative and financial activities and annual planning efforts. The Director of Development Administration operates as troubleshooter, problem-solver, and advisor when special administrative, financial, and IT support issues arise within the division; serves in an advisory capacity for budget preparations by departmental budget managers and the vice president for development and alumni relations; and serves as the division&rsquo;s source of information for official university policies and procedures.

About the role
 
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics to lead our inventory, warehousing and logistics function in support of our AMD Equipment program and related operational needs. This role will be accountable for capital and operational inventory management, owned and 3rd party warehouse operational performance, and logistics operations including our 4PL transportation and logistics partner.
 
The Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain AMD Equipment part number and spare parts philosophies and strategies as well as related forecasting and planning efforts to ensure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts and consumables to Operations. The role will also be accountable for inventory accuracy and is expected to maintain a robust physical inventory count program. Lastly, the Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory is preserved and maintained in accordance with the AMD Preservation, Maintenance & Storage Program.
 
Key accountabilities
 
Develop and maintain inventory management strategies, policies, and processes to ensure inventory accuracy including a robust physical inventory count program and reliable inventory transactional discipline.
 Oversee capital and operational inventory management efforts.
 Partner with the Product Management Team (PMT), Development, and Operations to develop and maintain AMD Equipment part number and spare parts philosophies and strategies including establishment of appropriate minimum and maximum stocking levels.
 Analyze inventory trends and distribution metrics to inform replenishment, planning, and operational decisions to ensure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts and consumables to Operations.
 Identify and implement warehouse management and governance best practices for the sake of operational consistency and continual improvement across all owned and 3rd party warehouses.
 Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
 Evaluate 3rd party warehouse performance and identify and implement corrective actions as required.
 Ensure that all inventory is preserved and maintained in accordance with the AMD Preservation, Maintenance & Storage Program.
 Oversee logistics and distribution, including carrier selection, freight optimization, and delivery performance including management of our 4PL transportation and logistics partner.

<div>We seek a talented, energetic, and collaborative Molecular Modeling Scientist to conduct both routine and novel analyses as part of our flagship platform A3D3a: Adaptive, AI-augmented, Drug Discovery and Development. With experience in structural prediction, comparative modeling, and emerging generative models, the Molecular Modeling Scientist will contribute to the discovery of novel cancer therapeutics as part of A3D3a. 
 
Led by Prof. Bissan Al-Lazikani, Director of Therapeutics Data Science, the intelligent and ever-learning A3D3a platform is part of MD Anderson's Therapeutics Data Science initiative and part of our ambitious Institute for Data Science in Oncology. A3D3a will accelerate the discovery and impact of novel therapies for cancer by enabling novel opportunities for optimized therapies for patients with a focus on rare and hard-to-treat cancers through the development of novel machine learning and AI technologies. 
 
Central to this vision, the Molecular Modeling Scientist will leverage state-of-the-art macromolecular modeling techniques and, collaboratively with senior scientists, develop innovative data science approaches to answer structural questions about and nominate therapeutic targets. Additionally, physics-based modeling may also compliment structural informatics and generative AI efforts. The preferred candidate should have at least an MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field. A strong background in computational modeling and a willingness to learn new approaches is critical to this role. 
 
The ideal candidate will be an experienced computational scientist with strong Python-based scientific computing skills and expertise in cheminformatics, generative AI, and molecular modeling-capable of building predictive ML models, generating and analyzing macromolecular structures, leveraging tools such as PyTorch, Modeller, Rosetta, and MD packages, and contributing effectively to multidisciplinary research through rigorous documentation, scientific communication, and efficient project management.

Director of Business Operations

<div>We seek a talented, energetic, and collaborative AI-driven Computational Chemist to conduct both routine and novel analyses as part of our flagship platform A3D3a: Adaptive, AI-augmented, Drug Discovery and Development. With experience in molecular generation, foundation models, and QSAR/QSPR modeling, the AI Computational Chemist will contribute to the discovery of novel cancer therapeutics as part of A3D3a. 
 
Led by Prof. Bissan Al-Lazikani, Director of Therapeutics Data Science, the intelligent and ever-learning A3D3a platform is part of MD Anderson's Therapeutics Data Science initiative and part of our ambitious Institute for Data Science in Oncology. A3D3a will accelerate the discovery and impact of novel therapies for cancer by enabling novel opportunities for optimized therapies for patients with a focus on rare and hard-to-treat cancers through the development of novel machine learning and AI technologies. 
 
Central to this vision, the AI Computational Chemist will leverage state-of-the-art generative and foundation models and, collaboratively with senior scientists, develop innovative data science approaches to propose chemical matter, propose drug-target interactions of on- and off-target effects, and rationalize toxicity patterns. While physics- or docking-based approaches may complement work in this position, proficiency in AI/ML based computational chemistry and cheminformatics is a must. The preferred candidate should have at least a MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field. Expertise and comfortability with large data and a willingness to learn new approaches is critical to this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION:
