 Wet Utilities Design Engineer will be responsible for designing water supply, firefighting, irrigation, stormwater, and wastewater networks in accordance with Oman authority standards. The role requires strong technical skills in hydraulic design, preparation of construction documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This position is ideal for an engineer with around 5 years of experience in wet utilities design for infrastructure or development projects.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare detailed designs for water supply, TSE/irrigation, wastewater, and stormwater networks in line with Oman authority regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, network modeling, and design layouts using relevant engineering software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare drawings, design reports, BOQs, technical notes, and specifications for tender and construction phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of wet utility systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review topographical surveys, hydrological studies, and geotechnical data to inform design decisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct wet utility network modeling (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD or equivalent).

 Liaise with Oman authorities (e.g., PAEW/MADAYN/Municipality) for design submissions, approvals, and technical clarifications.

 Perform site visits to gather design inputs and verify existing utility conditions.

Maintain the integrity, accessibility and traceability of all project documents exchanged between the owner's team, the technology licensor, the integrated delivery partner, lenders, regulatory authorities and other counterparties.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Establish, configure and operate the project's electronic document management system, covering all engineering, contractual, commercial, regulatory and HSE documentation.

Coordinate with electrical engineers on cable trench routing, substation structural interfaces, transformer pad design and earthing systems.</li><li> 
Coordinate with WTG and solar tracker OEMs on foundation load packages, interface drawings, anchor systems and structural acceptance requirements.</li><li> 
Coordinate with geotechnical and environmental engineers on ground investigation programmes, contamination risks and ground improvement works.</li><li> 
Coordinate with procurement teams on technical evaluation of structural steel, concrete, pile materials, geosynthetics and civil construction contractors.</li><li>

Requirements</h3>
General Experience<ul><li> 
 Minimum 12&ndash;15 years of professional experience in structural and civil engineering within renewable energy, power generation or large-scale infrastructure projects.</li><li> 
 Minimum 7 years of direct experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects (Wind and/or Solar PV above 100 MW).</li><li> 
 Proven experience working in a Head Office or Owner&rsquo;s Engineer capacity with design review and technical approval authority.</li><li> 
 Experience working under EPC, multi-contract or Owner-managed delivery models.</li><li> 
 Experience working with Owners, IPPs, EPC contractors, WTG OEMs, solar tracker OEMs or specialist geotechnical and structural consultants.</li></ul><div>
