About the Role
Carrier Commercial Services has an opening for an experienced HVAC Commercial Area Manager for our Midwest area. This role will sit in Indianapolis, IN or Cleveland or Columbus, OH and will lead Indiana, Ohio, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Kentucky. This position has profit &amp; loss responsibility for a $40M+ revenue HVAC Service Business. It is responsible for growing the market share of the Carrier Commercial Services business in this focused area through new business development working in conjunction with the sales organization. Products and services include Repair Service, Maintenance Contracts, and Modernization Projects. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, including a detailed understanding of the technical sales process and operations management.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Maintain culture of safety and continuous improvement</li><li>
Lead Operations team in execution of sales commitments and work orders</li><li>
Partner with sales organization to develop and execute strategic plan to drive accelerated market growth in assigned area based on revenue and EBIT plans for the area</li><li>
Accountable for technician productivity, order completion, connecting digital assets and customer retention</li><li>
Maintain client relationships based on professional credibility and product knowledge</li><li>
Identify and participate in industry organizations, trade shows, and events to promote the company, products, and services.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations</li><li>
Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan</li><li>
Ensure customer satisfaction by on-time performance and delivery to customer commitments</li><li>
Responsible for operational sales targets</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring Daily Management Board meetings are happening for all markets within their area (in either one or multiple meetings). The Area Manager is a required attendee for these meetings</li><li>
Monitor all core KPIs outlined in Daily Management Board cadence and assign actions to improve if any of the KPIs are below the target specified in the DMB</li><li>
Partner with leadership and discuss performance on Daily Management Board KPIs and actions to improve on any underperforming KPIs. Area Managers should proactively come prepared to discuss these items via the action card</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring Schedule and Optimization guidelines &amp; best practices are followed</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree OR a High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of HVAC Operations Leadership</li><li>
8+ years of sales, operations or leadership experience</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in HVAC operations leadership</li><li>
Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and SAP</li><li>
Customer-centric mindset</li><li>
Proactive and able to balance multiple priorities</li><li>

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
