Role Overview 
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in the preparation and review of the company&rsquo;s financial statements and related disclosures. This position is responsible for drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&amp;A quantitative and narrative content, overseeing XBRL tagging, while also serving as the primary liaison with Technical Accounting and Legal for disclosure updates.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Prepare and review quarterly and annual filings, including 10‑Q and 10‑K, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency</li><li>
Draft, maintain, and enhance financial statement footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements</li><li>
Assist with the preparation of 8‑K filings, earnings releases, and other periodic submissions</li><li>
Own and review XBRL tagging, taxonomy selections, and quality controls</li><li>
Maintain disclosure checklists and monitor changes in SEC filing requirements and disclosure trends</li><li>
Support tie‑out and financial statement consistency checks</li><li>
Prepare content for the Disclosure Committee, including financial sections and draft narrative</li><li>
Partner with Technical Accounting on adoption of new accounting standards and updates to notes</li><li>
Work with Legal to align financial disclosures with risk factors, regulatory language, and corporate narrative</li><li>

Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting</li><li>
CPA strongly preferred</li><li>
Five to six years total relevant experience with minimum of four to five years in a Big Four public accounting firm including public clients</li><li>
In depth knowledge of GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting guidance</li><li>
Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels</li><li>
Experience with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Smart View, Workiva or other enterprise accounting and financial information systems is a plus</li><li>

How You'll Contribute<ul><li>
Review and approve accounts payable, manage wire transfers.</li><li>

Lead the month-end and fiscal year-end close; produce monthly reports.</li><li>

Lead annual audit (990, single audit, DOE filings) and maintain audit files.</li><li>
Approve payroll, tax documents, and work-study reimbursements, balance payroll reports.</li><li>
Review/oversee COBRA tracking, ACA notifications, and employee changes.</li><li>
Prepare employment verification, handle unemployment claims and payroll audits.</li><li>
Prepare ACA, 403b, W-2, and FWS documents.</li><li>
Maintain benefit information, prepare and distribute enrollment materials.</li><li>
Maintain internal controls.</li><li>
Train and supervise the Office Manager and Bookkeeper.</li><li>

Experience and Skills:
About You
<ul><li>6+ years of accounting experience with similar responsibilities, preferably in a small office.</li><li>
B.S. in accounting, finance, economics, or similar; CPA preferred.</li><li>
Experience with MS Dynamics Great Plains, CAMS strongly preferred.</li><li>
Experience with Paylocity a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FASB Pronouncements, and IRS regulations.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.</li></ul>
