What does the Admixture Technician do? (including by not limited to)
Under direct supervision of a physician working within a clinic admixture room, performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation. With minimal supervision, responsible for record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered nurse or a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Specific state law may regulate that only licensed individuals perform compounding or mixing responsibilities. As a result, certain incumbents are prohibited from said tasks.
Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)<ul><li>
Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician.</li><li>
Checks all orders for completeness of information. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.</li><li>
Under direct supervision, admixes drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines, and preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines and interoffice guidelines.</li><li>
Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.</li><li>
Assists in counting controlled drugs weekly and maintain records. Properly disposes all materials used when mixing chemo or non-chemo IVs.</li><li>
Assists in cleaning hoods daily checking drugs monthly for outdates and other quality assurance activities as assigned.
</li><li>Assists in keeping accurate temperature logs, accurate logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs.
</li><li>Maintains proper control documentation of medications including lot numbers.</li><li>
Provide support with inventory control of medications. Prepares labels. Files and prepares billing. Basic data entry into department automation. Ordering of medication and supplies as directed.</li><li>
Assist with required cleaning and maintenance of the admix area and the pharmacy department in general to minimize particle counts and improve overall sanitation.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

<li>Registered Dietician Nutritionist Certificate, RDN, from the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) required or willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire.</li>

The warehouse coordinator will participate in the packing and preparing of equipment and supplies prior to distribution to Amerita&rsquo;s patients. Additionally, the warehouse coordinator will assist with loading, unloading, stocking and inventory of supplies in the warehouse; cleaning and acting as a backup driver when needed.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Packages and prepares equipment and supplies prior to distribution</li><li>
Fills orders by preparing supplies to be distributed to patients</li><li>
Ensures delivery tickets, requisitions, purchase order forms and packaging slips are completed accurately</li><li>
Coordinates home medical equipment orders with the assistance of a pharmacist.</li><li>
Coordinates patient deliveries.</li><li>
Stocks, stores and rotates warehouse equipment and supplies</li><li>
completes and maintains product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records.</li><li>
Monitors drug supply and pump inventory and levels</li><li>
Maintains a clean and orderly production space</li><li>
Perform other related duties as directed</li><li>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, preferred
</li><li>Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management
</li><li>Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license and driving record that meets company standards, if driving is required per branch needs</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>
Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology
</li><li>Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
</li><li>Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory</li></ul><div>
**To perform this role will require constant sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasional kneeling and crouching. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 10-30 lbs**</div>
