One year experience as an ophthalmic technician</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>* Acquaint new patients with the office and potential testing/treatments/procedures</p><p>* Obtain patient history to include chief compliant, history of present illness, past history (ocular and general), family history (ocular and general), and history of allergies and medications.</p><p>* Perform accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks.</p><p>* Perform fundus photography</p><p>* Perform OCT&rsquo;s / FA&rsquo;s</p><p>* Assessment of vision, pupils, confrontation fields, and anterior chamber depth</p><p>* Tonopen, applanation</p><p>* Scribing / accurately documentation exam</p><p>* Assisting in minor surgeries</p><p>* Cleaning, stocking, opening / closing of exam and work up rooms</p><p>* Order supplies (medication inventory, exam supplies)</p><p>* Maintaining clean work area and patient lobby</p><p>* Helping and answering questions of other staff members</p><p>* Helping in front office when needed</p><p>* Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the physician, escort patients to and from exam rooms.</p><p>* Communicate with co-workers to facilitate proper patient flow.</p><p>* Schedule surgical cases in one of our hospitals</p><p>We provide masks, gloves, face-shields and hand sanitizer.
