Primary Responsibilities and Duties</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Reads specifications or blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, or sizes of material required.</li><li>Fabricates metal parts, such as steel frames, columns, beams, or girders, according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.</li><li>Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units for hoisting; hoists steel beams, girders, or columns into place, using cranes or signaling hoisting equipment operators to lift and position structural steel members.</li><li>Verifies vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members, using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, or levels.</li><li>Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment.</li><li>Forces structural steel members into final positions, using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, or hand tools.</li><li>Pulls, pushes or pries structural steel members into approximate positions for bolting into place.</li><li>Bolts aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place.</li><li>Assemble hoisting equipment or riggings, such as cables, pulleys, or hooks, to move heavy equipment or materials.</li><li>Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.</li><li>Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.</li></ul>

</div><div><ul><li>The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl</li>

<li>Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required</li>
<li>May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds</li>
<li>Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces</li>
<li>Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment</li>
<li>May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site</li>

What You Will Do</b><br>

</p><ul><li>Travel to customer sites from your home office to perform preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of a wide variety of our manufactured electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to pumps, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), positioners, valves, actuators, transmitters, combustion equipment, emissions monitoring equipment, digital recorders, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
</li><li>Commission, troubleshoot, and alter different types of PLC's (mainly Allen Bradley and GE) proportional-integral-derivative (PID) loop controllers, VFD's, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and other control devices.</li><li>
Be on call for customer service as required.</li><li>
Modify technical documents and drawings (redlines) to represent final field changes and corrections for commissioning of equipment.</li><li>
Perform maintenance and inspections in confined spaces such as tanks, vaults, and crawl spaces.</li><li>
Follow all safety protocols for confined space entry, including use of gas monitors and retrieval systems.
</li><li>Travel extensively within your region, up to 75% travel is expected, and potentially the US.</li></ul><p><b>
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)</b><br>

</p><ul><li>Experience in modifying, diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC's such as, but not limited to, Allen Bradley and GE brands.
</li><li>Experience understanding and applying National Electrical Code (NEC)</li><li>
Experience reading and understanding Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&amp;ID), fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics.</li><li>
Able to travel over 75% of the time.</li><li>
A Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) will have to be obtained within first six (6) weeks of employment.</li><li>
Valid Driver's License, able to drive a company vehicle and respond to customers as the need arises.</li></ul><p><b>

Able to lift up to 50# on occasion and 25# routinely, able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb and maneuver around skidded equipment and piping.</li><li>

</li><li>2-year Technical Degree from an accredited college or trade school in a mechanically-based technical major, OR 4 years of military service working with in relevant job fields</li><li>
Field work experience in the petrochemical, power generation, renewable energy, pulp &amp; paper or food processing industries.</li><li>
Experience with Modicon and Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)</li><li>
Electrical journeyman license</li><li>
Experience with Industrial safety, OSHA and NFPA 70E or equivalent experience</li><li>
Experience working on all types of industrial, electrical and electronic equipment including, but not limited to motors, VFD's, positioners, valves, actuators, transmitters and PLC equipment.
</li><li>Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20mA loop devices.</li></ul><p>
For this role, we anticipate paying $35 - $47 an hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
