 We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
 
 Laboratory Technician (Laborant)
 
 to support quality control and testing activities for our road and infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Diploma or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
 </li>
 <li>
 20+ years of experience in quality control within construction and infrastructure projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in construction site laboratories, including material testing and laboratory supervision.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good command of English (written and spoken).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of construction materials testing, laboratory procedures, and quality standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage laboratory personnel, testing schedules, and reporting activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Detail-oriented and disciplined approach to ensuring test accuracy, compliance, and documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in MS Office Suite for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Material Testing: Perform routine laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in strict accordance with project specifications and international standards (AASHTO, ASTM, etc.).
 </li>
 <li>
 Sampling: Conduct systematic on-site sampling of raw materials and fresh concrete/asphalt to ensure representative testing for quality control.
 </li>
 <li>
 Data Recording: Accurately record, calculate, and document all test data in standardized formats, ensuring that all laboratory logs are up-to-date and audit-ready.
 </li>
 <li>
 Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and assist in the periodic calibration of laboratory testing equipment and sensitive measuring instruments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Non-Conformity Reporting: Immediately notify QA/QC Manager of any test results that fall outside the required specifications or tolerances.
 </li>
 <li>
 Sample Management: Properly label, store, and track the shelf-life of samples (e.g., concrete cylinders/cubes) to ensure accurate curing and timely testing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Site Coordination: Coordinate with site engineers and batching plants to align testing schedules with the daily construction progress.
 </li>
 <li>
 Health &amp; Safety: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, strictly adhering to site safety protocols and the proper handling of chemical reagents or heavy equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Documentation Support: Assist in preparing daily and weekly quality reports to support project accountability and compliance certificates.
 </li>
