The Harris County District Attorney&rsquo;s Office (HCDAO) located in Houston, Texas, is the fourth largest prosecutor&rsquo;s office in the country serving more than 4.7 million people. We are excited to hire an attorney to join the General Litigation Division, the DA&rsquo;s legal team. General Litigation is a unique blend of criminal and civil practice that gives its attorneys the opportunity to enhance their legal skillset beyond that of a regular prosecutor or civil litigator in a rewarding and collaborative environment not found elsewhere in public or private legal employment. Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in the division advise the elected District Attorney, the Office, and its employees on various legal and policy issues and provide representation to the Office and its employees in administrative, state, and federal civil litigation. The Division attorneys also review and litigate requests for expunctions, represent the State in contempt proceedings, respond to record requests, facilitate out of state witness coordination and all aspects of fugitive matters.
Duties:
