Join Math Corps as a Math Tutor and you&rsquo;ll spend your days at a local school helping students improve their skills. Not a math whiz? Not a problem &mdash; we&rsquo;ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!</p><div></div><p><br>
How does it work? Every school day you&rsquo;ll see groups of up to 3 students for 20&ndash;30 minutes of math practice. When your time together is up, you&rsquo;ll help your students return to their classroom(s) and pick up your next group for tutoring. You&rsquo;ll repeat until all your students are served.</p><div></div><p><br>

Essential Qualifications</b></div><div></div><p><br>
By the time you begin your service with Math Corps, you should be:</p><ul><li>
Dependable and have a history of good attendance</li><li>
Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback</li><li>
Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)</li><li>
Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing</li><li>
18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States</li><li>
Able to successfully complete a background check</li></ul><br>

Compensation &amp; Perks Package:

Schedule</b></div><p>
We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026&ndash;June 2027.</p><ul><li>
35 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)</li><li>
Daytime hours (corresponding with school start and end times)</li><li>
Monday-Friday (no weekends)</li><li>
Time off on holidays and school release days</li></ul><div></div><p><br>
Part-time positions are also available at 25 and 15 hours per week!</p><p>
AmeriCorps positions include a total service-hour commitment for the program year. Most hours are completed through regular site-based service; members work with program staff to plan their schedule and may occasionally complete approved service or training outside of the school day as needed.</p><div></div><div><b><br>
Pay &amp; Benefits</b></div><div></div><p><br>
Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $17.50 per hour served and additional perks! Learn more.</p><ul><li>

<p><b>AP Chemistry / AP Biology Tutors Needed!</b></p><p><b>About Epic Academics:</b></p><p>Epic Academics tutors students in grades K-12 for all school subject areas and test prep programs, including ACT, SAT, PSAT, and AP.</p><p>Epic is hiring for a science tutor with a strong math background.</p><p>** This tutor position requires the ability to teach high school-level science subjects through the AP level. **</p><p>IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT a remote position.
