 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead the front-end engineering design, basic design, and detailed engineering of water and wastewater systems, including: Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Thermal Systems (ZLD), Produced Water Treatment Packages
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform and review key engineering calculations: Equipment sizing, Hydraulic flow and pressure drop analysis, Load calculations for foundations and support structures
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage engineering milestones, deliverables, and interface management with clients, contractors, and vendors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the development of sustainable and cost-efficient engineering solutions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review the Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and technical datasheets
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and review technical specifications compliant with industry standards and project requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct design / engineering validation and structural integrity assessments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Approve detailed design documents, including:
 </li>
 <li>
 General arrangement and piping drawings
 </li>
 <li>
 Equipment layout and Piping Layout
 </li>
 <li>
 Isometrics and fabrication drawings
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with design teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of project objectives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and approve civil layout drawings and foundation designs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Validate structural load calculations to ensure compatibility with mechanical components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and architectural teams to maintain integration of multidisciplinary designs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in project kick-off meetings and vendor evaluations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical clarifications and lead engineering discussions with contractors, consultants, and clients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and approve vendor deliverables including datasheets, drawings, and calculations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to project risk assessments including: Design Review, HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments, 3D model reviews and value engineering workshops
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in component selection, vendor evaluation, and cost estimation activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical support during site installation, commissioning, and start-up phases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead, mentor, and review work of process engineers, design engineers, and discipline leads.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with external consultants, OEMs, and subcontractors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the key engineering interface with clients, authorities, and regulatory bodies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all activities are conducted in alignment with the organization&rsquo;s QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Management System.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for engineering deliverables and project records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support continuous improvement initiatives through feedback, audits, and lessons learned.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering/Engineering from an accredited University.
 </li>
 <li>
 Master&rsquo;s degree or professional certification is an advantage
 </li>
 <li>
 The role involves end-to-end technical ownership&mdash;from concept and detailed design through construction support, commissioning, and handover&mdash;ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and approve process design basis, PFDs, P&amp;IDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and technical specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (ADM, EWEC, ADDC, ADSSC) and international standards (ISO, AWWA, ASTM, IEC).
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates strong analytical ability with a keen attention to detail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Brings creativity and innovation to engineering problem-solving.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Makes sound decisions under pressure and resolves technical issues efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with EPC/EPCM project execution models
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate ability to manage, guide, and lead a team effectively.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 12-18 years of experience in design and engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 5+ years in a lead or managerial engineering role
