Position Summary:

Seeking medical scribe for an ophthalmology practice. Primary duty will be to scribe and enter chart data when the doctor is in the office. Other medical administrative tasks will be taught and performed when the doctor is not in the office. Some travel to other offices may be part of the job if a need arises, but travel will be rare and optional. Benefits include 401k, paid vacation/sick time, and medical insurance.</div><div>
Seeking individuals in a <b>gap year</b> prior to medical or physician assistant school.</div><div>

Responsibilities:
<div>
This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.</div><div></div><div><br>
Scribing skills (upon completion of training) include but are not limited to:</div><ul><li>
Obtaining and documenting patient history</li><li>
Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician</li><li>
Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR</li><li>
Providing patient services</li></ul>
Qualifications:<br>

Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
</li><li>Must be flexible with traveling to various locations as needed
</li><li>Ability to pay attention to detail
</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality
</li><li>The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
</li><li>The ability to recognize inconsistencies
