Accountable for supplies, equipment and environmental support in a cost-effective manner. Drapes all equipment in a sterile fashion. Identifies specimens for processing by circulating nurse. Assists surgical team with the counting of instruments, sharps, and sponges. Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization. Removes soiled instruments and equipment.</p>

Safeguards the privacy of patients. Maintains confidentiality relating to patients. Aware of patient's rights as well as legal, moral, and ethical implications of actions.</p>

Maintains stock in operating room supply carts and specialty cart(s) in resource area in coordination with Clinical Resource Nurse. Recognizes, reports problems related to kits or equipment and assists in developing corrective action plan. Contributes to cleanliness and order of the unit.
