 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Research Assistant position. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team in support of one of the projects under our center grant. The ideal candidate will have experience in human subjects research, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and administrative support within a research setting.  Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 The Research Assistant will work closely with the Project Leads to accomplish specific project aims. Responsibilities include

 Conduct participant screening, recruitment, and consenting in accordance with IRB-approved protocols.

 Facilitate focus groups and support qualitative research activities, including transcription, coding, and data analysis.

 Assist with IRB preparation, submission, and ongoing reporting.

 Position Summary
 
 
 The CALM lab studies translational issues in transfusion medicine such as the immune response to transfused blood cells, with projects spanning autoimmunity, alloimmunity, tolerance, and aging.
 
 
 A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent organizational and record keeping skills, and be able to multi-task while maintaining precision and quickness.
 
 
 Both animal and human studies are performed in the lab. The primary responsibilities of this position include: participation in day-to-day laboratory research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator (including experimental set-up, completion, data collection and data analysis). For human studies, the candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of these research studies, from recruiting volunteers, screening subjects, ordering necessary supplies, scheduling, consenting volunteers, performing lab tests, and other logistical study support. Phlebotomy certification is preferred. For animal studies, mouse colony management (including animal husbandry, genotyping, phenotyping, and daily monitoring of experimental mice) is required. Skills frequently utilized to complete daily tasks include: mouse handling, basic lab skills (e.g. pipetting, loading a gel), DNA extraction and PCR, flow cytometry, and sterile technique. Additionally, animal husbandry and colony management rely on basic knowledge of genetics (e.g. Mendelian inheritance patterns).

The candidate will play an integral role in day-to-day research activities and patient coordination; ensuring efficient operations. 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Assist in the synchronization of research activities under the direction of the Director and serves as a liaison between the clinicians, research staff, and other research assistants. 
Provide overall administrative &amp; study specific support for research activities including but not limited to: providing timely reports to Director, Institutional Review Board, Principal Investigator, National Institutes of Health and/or sponsor for each research project as well as participating stakeholders. 
This position will contribute to Arthroplasty research through:

The salary range for the role is $58661 - $77125.98 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. Associate Researcher I- Immunology and Immunotherapy

<div>Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry human subjects researcher, responsible for conducting and assisting in clinical research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff. This individual obtains informed consent, collects, maintains and organizes study information. Assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office). 
Responsibilities
1. Conducts routine and standardized human subjects research using appropriate research or interview techniques specific to subject matter of the research project, under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator or senior clinical research staff.

2. Assists in the activities related to clinical research including, but not limited to: obtaining informed consent, screening participants for eligibility, registering patients with sponsoring agencies, administering questionnaires and answering telephone calls.

3. Assists in the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation.

4. Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with Mount Sinai policies and procedures. Ensures accurate, confidential and complete compilation of data.

5. May secure and ship clinical specimens as required by the protocol.

6. May assist in the preparation for regulatory agency site visits.

7. Performs other related duties 
Qualifications<ul>
