<div>The Gust lab studies how the brain is affected by systemic inflammatory states, particularly in the setting of cancer immunotherapy. Our research is highly cross-disciplinary and draws from neuroscience, immunology, vascular biology, and oncology. We are looking for a full-time research technician who is hard working, organized, and excited to tackle the unknown.
Qualifications:<ul><li>

Responsibilities:<ul><li>
You will work closely with the PI and senior laboratory technician to focus on experimental technique and increasing independence in conducting experiments.</li><li>

You will be able to participate in experimental design, data collection, and publications. You will receive mentoring and support for career development.</li><li>
The key methods we use in the lab include in vivo multiphoton microscopy in mouse models, cell culture, flow cytometry, and animal behavior. Readiness to learn and meticulous attention to detail will help you manage a broad array of techniques. You will have the opportunity to learn specialized methods, including microsurgery for cranial window implantation in mice for imaging.</li></ul>

The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) Laboratory Program is part of an international collaboration of scientists and educators searching for an effective and safe HIV vaccine.
