In this role, you will:
<ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable backend payment services that support Expedia&rsquo;s global travel platform</li><li>
Apply software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, modular with good naming conventions</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or Master's in a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience</li><li>
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant hands-on experience building and operating distributed cloud services</li><li>
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, C#, or similar object-oriented languages, with hands-on experience integrating services with relational and NoSQL databases</li><li>
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure/test automation, and delivering features in Agile development environments</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience working on payment platforms or implementing backend services leveraging GenAI technologies</li><li>
Experience contributing to multiple multi-quarter, cross-team projects</li><li>
Experience supporting complex distributed systems in production through monitoring, debugging, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis</li><li>

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual&rsquo;s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
