The Senior Clinic Practice Assistant plays a key role in supporting an Oral Surgery provider by managing both clinical schedules and administrative calendars, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations. In addition to dedicated support for the surgeon, this role is an integral member of the Clinic Practice Assistant team, providing dependable cross‑coverage and contributing to a collaborative, patient‑focused environment. The position is full‑time, Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:30 AM&ndash;5:00 PM. After successful completion of the training/probationary period and demonstration of strong competency in all responsibilities, one remote workday per week may be available.<p></p><p><b><br>

Monitors and uses systems to execute tasks including Epic and Patient Gateway for patient clinical information/messages. May serve as super user for these systems and may train staff on their use.
</li><li>Arranges and/or provides information and visit support to patients and their families, such as distributing maps, information regarding procedures and interpreter services.
</li><li>Prepares for patient visits by placing appointment and surgery reminder calls, organizing patient files and printing forms and ensuring physician and office is prepared to provide for patient visit or surgery.

This includes review and practice of patient encounter cases and clinical skills assistance at the New England College of Optometry 424 Beacon Street Campus. Patient encounter assistance can take place over Zoom, while clinical skills assistance including slit lamp exam, Goldmann applanation tonometry, 4-mirror gonioscopy, dilated biomicroscopy and binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy would take place in person at the Beacon campus.
