As core members of the multidisciplinary team for decades, the APP teams are key in supporting access, care delivery, and innovation associated with growth across our expanding programs and new spaces.<br>

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for inpatients with solid tumors or hematologic malignancies.
<br>
<br>
Join a dynamic inpatient oncology team. Work within one of our two subspecialty groups with APPs that specialize in either 1) solid tumor, caring for an oncology patient population who are admitted for medical complications, new diagnoses, and treatment-related side effects, or 2) hematologic malignancies, caring for patients receiving bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and collaboration. You&rsquo;ll work closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge care on either our solid tumor or hematologic malignancy service. Our APPs have the opportunity to be on the forefront of cancer care, collaborating with research teams to care for patients receiving first-in-human therapies as well as standard of care.

Key Responsibilities<br>

Principal Antineoplastic Stewardship Duties and Responsibilities<br>

2. Coordinates programs designed to minimize medication errors, adverse drug reactions and medication misuse with<br>

The Research Assistant (RAI) works with the Laboratory Manager, Principal Investigators, and other staff to conduct screening and study visits. This position plays an essential role in the successful completion of multiple clinical research protocols being conducted in the Asthma Research Center at one time.<br>

The RAI is responsible for independently recruiting and screening study subjects for eligibility to participate in clinical trials. The RAI is also responsible for study data collection and entry, lab processing and maintaining study regulatory documents. They may be responsible for spearheading recruitment efforts for research studies. Excellent communication (oral and written), phone, and computer skills are necessary.<br>

Working under general supervision from the Laboratory Manager, provides support for clinical research studies.<br>

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>

1. Assists in the development and planning for the implementation of procedures for research studies evaluating asthma treatments and medications.<br>

2. Reviews, understands and obtains appropriate certifications for study specific protocols and ARC procedures.<br>

3. Actively contributes to the recruitment of study subjects for ARC studies. This includes assisting with developing and implementation of recruitment strategies, telephone screening of potential subjects, enlisting participation by scheduling appointments and sending out necessary paperwork.<br>

4. Performs study visits, including review of consent with subjects, following ARC procedures for study visits, and appropriate follow up with subjects.<br>

5. Clinical and pulmonary testing including performing, e.g., vital signs, EKG, blood draws, skin testing, spirometry, methacholine challenges, sputum induction, exercise challenges, assisting with certain procedures for bronchoscopies and other related procedures.<br>

6. Collects and reviews study data, ensuring compliance with protocol and data integrity. Refers appropriate clinical issues/questions to respective medical/managerial staff.<br>

Blood pressure cuff, pulse oximetry probe placement and 02 saturation measurement provides snack, blankets, ice packs, comfort items help with discharge procedures, linen change helps coordinate change in infusion schedule with MD and administrative assistant prepares forms for informed consent</p><p></p><p>
Physically prepares patients for and assists care providers with examinations and therapeutic procedures
</p><p>Instructs and assists patients while getting infusions</p><p>
 Instructs patients and families for expectations in the clinic</p><p>
Participates in daily operational activities necessary for a safe patient and staff environment. Maintains JACHO standards on the unit</p><p>
Cares for medical equipment and supplies and monitors sterilization of appropriate equipment.</p><p>
Ensures patient safety</p><p>
Escorts patients from waiting area to and from treatment areas</p><p>
Rounds on patients routinely for to assist with falls prevention</p><p>
Aids patients with toileting (including escorting patients to and from bathroom to prevent patient falls)</p><p>
Assists with patient transfers (i.e. wheelchair to/from bed/stretcher; stretcher to/from bed) and bed positioning</p><p>
Provides nutritional snacks for patients as appropriate</p><p>
Collaborates with Medical Director to identify and meet learning needs</p><p>

Patient Services Coordinator II: Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Administrative</b></p><p></p><p>
Cross trained to provide back up for all check in and checkout functions as outlined by the MGH/MGPO Front Desk Standards and Cadence Front Desk Check In User without Registration Training Track.</p><p></p><p>
Maintains confidentiality and privacy which is consistent with HIPAA guidelines.</p><p></p><p>
Provides basic information/instructions to patients regarding Hospital and practice procedures. Will arrange escort or interpreter services as needed.</p><p></p><p>
Is competent in the use of automated systems used on the unit.</p><p>
Basic understanding of Ambulatory Patient Tracking System.</p><p>
Knowledge of Voalte communicating system</p><p>
Competence in scheduling patient appointments via Epic Hyperspace</p><p>
Prints upcoming schedules for patient verification and confirmation.</p><p></p><p>
Performs the daily management of encounter form processing and reconcilement.</p><p>
Knowledge of scanning procedures and label printing.</p><p>
Ensures completeness of all encounter forms by the patient as required for processing</p><p></p><p>

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Medical Assistant works in the clinical setting providing direct and indirect service for patients and providers. The medical assistant works with the interdisciplinary health team in providing a wide variety of clinical, administrative and technical support functions in the delivery of healthcare in the Ketamine Infusion Unit. The Medical Assistant for the Ketamine Infusion Unit will also be cross-trained to perform the administrative responsibilities of the Patient Service Coordinator II.<br>
Shifts needed are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30-5. Evenings and weekends are available to pick up as well.</p><p></p><p><b>
