</div><p>Purpose of Position:</p><p>
The Assistant Chief of Hospital Police, under the direction of the Chief of Hospital Police, provides assistance in the direction and oversight of all Hospital Police Department functions, initiatives, and activities across the health care setting(s). The Assistant Chief of Hospital Police plans, manages, and continuously evaluates the security operations of a facility to effectively direct the daily operations of the Hospital Police Department. Partners with the Chief of Hospital Police to promote, implement, and direct a culture of safety, and to formulate and institute effective strategies and policies that focus on high-quality results, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.</p><p>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><p>
1. Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation and enforcement of security programs, policies, and guidelines across the health care setting to ensure the safety of all individuals and property on NYC Health + Hospitals premises.</p><p>
2. Assists in leading and directing the overall day-to-day operation of the department&rsquo;s programs and initiatives. Facilitates process-improvement initiatives and monitors the impact of security on the health care setting.</p><p>
3. Assists the Chief of Hospital Police in collaborating with Central Office Emergency Management and facility emergency manager(s) to ensure appropriate mitigation, preparedness, response and/or recovery efforts with regard to emergency management activities.</p><p>
4. Establishes program and service goals and priorities ensuring compliance with all required protocols and regulations and identifies potential problems affecting the health care setting, making recommendations for workable and cost-effective solutions.</p><p>
5. Assists in oversight of investigations involving criminal activities, complaints, and other security incidents at the facility and liaises with facility managers, law enforcement, first responders, and other emergency management partners in response to incidents.</p><p>
6. Assists in the collection and review of security data and makes recommendations for methods of prevention and enforcement. May participate in special studies, conduct research to identify and analyze trends and/or produce reports on findings of studies.</p><p>
7. Monitors incidents involving patient and public safety, ensuring Peace Officers comply with and enforce New York State Penal Law, local New York City Municipal Codes, and other laws. Maintains necessary documentation and promptly reports incidents, as required, to appropriate local, state, and federal law enforcement, public health and regulatory agencies.</p>

</p><p>PAL is seeking an IT Support Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of computer systems, hardware, and IT infrastructure. He or she will be responsible for on-site support across all PAL&rsquo;s NYC 17 locations for networked PCs, laptops, VOIP phones, PAL issues mobile phones, printers, PAL&rsquo;s Microsoft Active Directory domain and hosted in Azure and locally and troubleshooting various network devices including switches and routers. Additionally, PAL relies heavily on the Office 365 Suite online tools, to support both on-site and hybrid work for all staff. The IT support Engineer will work closely with the Operations team, PAL&rsquo;s IT Business Partner providing enterprise managing IT services.
</p><p>The IT Support Technician will report to the Director of Operations and work collaboratively with other Operations and IT staff.
</p><p>What you&rsquo;ll do:
</p><p>Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
</p><ul><li><p>Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, peripherals, operating systems issues.
</p></li><li><p>Support new desktop, laptop and mobile phone user setup and mobile device management solution, including orienting staff on new equipment.
</p></li><li><p>Serve as one of the primary contact to support internal company, end users, and IT operations
</p></li><li><p>Update PAL&rsquo;s IT Ticketing system to ensure that all tickets are resolved and documented appropriately
</p></li><li><p>Provide on-site critical support at PAL locations to troubleshoot, resolve, and accurately documents various technical problems and resolutions (i.e. software, hardware and company specific applications)
</p></li></ul><p>IT Administration and Maintenance:
</p><ul><li><p>Responsible for hardware and software inventory management and administration
</p></li><li><p>Administration of Microsoft Exchange 365 and Active Directory
