The Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated attorney with extensive prosecutorial experience to handle narcotics and firearms investigations and cases within the Enterprise &amp; Major Crimes Division of the Criminal Bureau. The Criminal Bureau is staffed by a group of experienced prosecutors who partner with intelligence analysts, financial investigators, Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Attorney General&rsquo;s Office, and local, state, and federal investigative and enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute large-scale narcotics trafficking organizations and firearms investigations throughout the Commonwealth.
Primary Duties: The Assistant Attorney General will handle a large caseload of primarily narcotics and firearms-related matters from investigation through sentencing. The work involves extensive collaboration with law enforcement, grand jury investigations throughout the Commonwealth, complex motion practice, and frequent appearances before the Commonwealth&rsquo;s District and Superior Courts for motions, pleas, and trials. Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to:

Reviewing all search warrants sought in connection with these investigations, which include, but are not limited to, GPS tracking, &ldquo;ping&rdquo; and cell-site simulator, cell-site location information (CSLI), and wiretap warrants;</li></ul><ul><li>
Extensive grand jury practice, including, but not limited to, immunization of witnesses, working with civilian witnesses/victims, and working with victim witness advocates;</li></ul><ul><li>
Handling all phases of litigation for cases stemming from these investigations in Superior Court, including motions to suppress, trials, and related civil forfeiture claims.</li></ul>
Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Location: The Assistant Attorney General hired for this position would be able to work out of the Boston office or one of the regional offices which are located in Springfield, New Bedford, and Worcester. Our hybrid model may include some telework days for the successful candidate. For the first six months in the position, the Assistant Attorney General will be expected to work in office at least three or four days per week.

Provide both mentoring to KIND pro bono attorneys and direct legal representation to KIND clients.</li><li>

In the direct representation function, perform ordinary functions of legal counsel including legal research and formulating the legal strategy for the case; conducting client interviews; appearing before immigration and/or state courts or agencies; and drafting and filing court pleadings and applications for benefits.</li><li>

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Duties: Researches and prepares legal memoranda on a broad scope of complex and unique issues relating to the Judicial Branch of Government at the direction of the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and the Managing Counsel. 
 
Works with the assigned Assistant Attorney General on litigation in which the Trial Court, one of its departments or divisions, or one or more of its judges or employees is named as a defendant. 
 
Provides advice on legal issues originating from the Office of Court Management Departments including Human Resources, Fiscal, Security, Facilities, the Court Education Department, the Judicial Information Services Department, and the Office of Workplace Rights and Compliance.
 
 
Drafts or reviews and approves contracts, interagency service agreements and memoranda of understanding entered into by the Trial Court&rsquo;s administrative offices, departments and divisions. Negotiates and drafts necessary amendments to contracts and coordinates the contract-funding process with the Fiscal Department. 
 
Advises Procurement Manager and other Trial Court personnel in developing the specifications, terms and conditions of Requests for Proposals and, when necessary, reviews RFPs developed by Trial Court departments for compliance with Trial Court contracting procedures and state bidding laws. 
 
Prepares and represents the Trial Court in Worker&rsquo;s Compensation proceedings before the Department of Industrial Accidents. 
 
Assists in maintaining the Complaint Manual, which includes drafting charging language and formulating offense codes. Updates changes to charging language based on changes in statutes, case law and regulations. 
 
Provides legal advice to Deputy Court Administrators and other Trial Court personnel concerning compliance with state bidding laws and the contracting process. 
 
Acts as legal staff to Trial Court committees. Prepares material for meetings, prepares reports and works directly with committee members. 
 
Drafts correspondence in response to complaints, subpoenas, questions, and requests for information from the public, attorneys, judges, court officials and governmental agencies.

The Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell&rsquo;s Office is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Information Technology Division as an IT Desktop Support Specialist. The IT Desktop Support Specialist is a detail-oriented and customer-focused member of our technology team. This role is responsible for providing frontline support to employees, ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, managing IT assets, and resolving technical issues in a Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to IT service delivery. 
Primary Duties:
Onboarding &amp; Offboarding
<ul><li>Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and software.
</li><li>Ensure departing employees are properly offboarded, including account deactivation and equipment retrieval.
</li></ul>IT Service Desk Support
<ul><li>Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues via phone, email, or ticketing system.
</li><li>Provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating when necessary.
</li></ul>Equipment Deployment
<ul><li>Prepare, image, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals to end users.
</li><li>Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely replacements or upgrades.
</li></ul>Technical Issue Resolution
<ul><li>Troubleshoot and resolve common desktop, application, and connectivity problems.
</li><li>Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
</li></ul>Asset Management
<ul><li>Assist with tracking and maintaining IT assets in the asset management system.
</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation of equipment assignments and returns.
</li></ul>Tier 1 Cybersecurity Support
<ul><li>Monitor and respond to basic security alerts and incidents.
</li>Educate users on security best practices and assist with password resets, MFA, and phishing reports.

Position Requirements:
<ul><li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience.
</li><li>A minimum of zero to three (0&ndash;3) years of experience in IT desktop support or help desk role.
</li><li>Knowledge of Windows 11 operating system and Microsoft 365 applications.
</li><li>Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response.
</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
</li><li>Familiarity with IT asset management practices and ticketing systems, preferred.
</li><li>Knowledge of endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM), preferred.
</li><li>Exposure to ITIL practices and service desk workflows, preferred.
</li>CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification, a plus.
