<p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE:</b></p><p>The Assistant Director will join a vibrant and growing team, committed to ensuring outstanding in-classroom education and care for young children and their families in the South End. The person in this role will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the early childhood education program (ECE), including but not limited to planning daily and weekly schedules, supervising staff and regular check ins, curriculum development, supporting enrollment and providing quality services to families in compliance with USES policies, and local and state regulations.</p><p>This role is a great opportunity for an experienced childcare professional to directly supervise a staff of mission-driven individuals and to receive coaching and development towards future leadership roles.   The Role:

 The Case Manager will join the Community Wellness Team for Family Childcare (FCC), reporting directly to the Sr. Case Manager for Community Wellness. As a dedicated and skilled professional, the Case Manager will serve as the family liaison for our priority populations, including DCF, young parents under 24, and families experiencing homelessness. We recognize the need for our scholarship recipients to receive support and to have an advocate for them on their behalf at their colleges.</p><p>The Scholar Support Coordinator will be responsible for reaching out to our scholars, building a relationship with each of them, determining their needs, and helping them to get the resources and support that they need. These resources are school, city, state, and federal based. They include connecting scholars to academic support, food/housing resources, transportation support, childcare, legal/citizenship support, and career planning.</p><p>The Scholar Support Coordinator will collaborate with the Program Director and will provide any necessary updates and information to the PD.</p><p><b>Responsibilities Include:</b></p><ul><li>Regularly connect with each scholar to check-in, help coach them, and determine what they need to succeed</li><li>Identify and connect with financial and advising support at each college/university to learn about resources and connecting scholars with appropriate support</li><li>Support the Program Director and the rest of the First Literacy Team at the annual Scholarship Ceremony, Scholar Orientation, and at other events planned for the scholars during the academic year</li><li>Participate in the interviews of new scholarship candidates each June</li><li>Coordinate with our Administrative Assistant to obtain all paperwork from scholars, including transcripts/grades and FERPA forms in order to discuss scholar information with the schools</li><li>Track school calendars and plan scholar messaging around class start dates, drop/add dates, finals dates, etc.</li><li>Track and update student data through Excel and our CRM</li><li>Identifying potential individuals and/or companies that can provide workshops or one-on-one support to students (i.e. financial, career, etc.)</li><li>Connecting with and engaging with past scholars at least once a year to get an update on where they are and what they are doing now</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>We recognize that the ideal candidate might have unique experiences. The Alternative Commitment and Registration Support Unit (ACRSU) of CPCS is committed to ensuring that every indigent adult and youth in Massachusetts has access to zealous legal representation when facing &ldquo;sexually dangerous person&rdquo; (SDP) civil commitment and sex offender registry board (SORB) classification proceedings from hearings and trials to appeals at all levels.</div><div></div><div><br>
The ACRSU oversees, supports, and trains private panel attorneys to represent clients in SORB and SDP cases and assigns private counsel to these cases, as needed. The ACRSU also consists of a litigation unit with a group of staff attorneys who represent clients in SDP jury trials in Superior Court. The ACRSU provides leadership in the specialized areas of SORB and SDP litigation defense.</div><div></div><div><br>
The ACRSU is the only office in the state specializing in SORB litigation defense and provides leadership on SDP issues in collaboration with the SDP trial unit.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

The Senior Administrative Assistant supports the administrative office of the ACRSU, providing administrative support to the Director and attorneys who oversee, support, and train private panel attorneys who provide SORB and SDP representation.
