At Soho House, the Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food and providing excellent service accompanied by memorable experiences to all guests and members who visit a Soho House &amp; Co. property. As a Bartender you are an extension of the brand, management team and global food and drink program. As a result, you will be responsible for professional behavior, charismatic and positive energy to create a fun environment that drives conversation and sales.

A successful Bartender will greet customers, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. To succeed as a Soho House Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable with a thirst for all things craft cocktails!

Main Duties
<ul>
<li>Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee and drinks used at the bar</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized section as well as collaborate with other bartenders to; wash glassware and utensils after each use, Clean up after customers and clean work area</li>
<li>Educate guests and members about beverage options learned through House Tonic trainings</li>
<li>Discuss and describe daily specials, seasonally influenced menu items and food pairing options to promote additional sales through creating optimal experience for dining</li>
<li>Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register</li>
<li>Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products as well as determine when a customer has had too much alcohol</li>
<li>Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays that promote specific beverage options and can increase overall sales and member / guest experience</li>
<li>Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies and delegate replenishment of items to Barbacks</li>
<li>Mix ingredients according to drink recipes to maintain a globally unified beverage program and consistent experience</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager</li>
</ul>
Required Skills/Qualifications
<ul>
<li>2+ years' experience working in high-volume F&amp;B operation</li>
<li>Craft cocktail experience and working with seasonally influenced perishable items</li>
<li>Experience making coffee drinks a plus</li>
<li>Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining consistency</li>
<li>Strong communication and people skills</li>
<li>Flexible schedule and reliable</li>
<li>Tips certified</li>
<li>Micros a plus</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements
<ul>
<li>Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.</li>
<li>Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.</li>
<li>Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.</li>
<li>Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.</li>
<li>Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.</li>

Bartender
The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests and oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies. As a Bartender, you will serve as the face of our brand in the taproom, engaging with guests to educate them about our products while delivering an outstanding hospitality experience. This role combines product knowledge with exceptional customer service to create memorable interactions that reflect the values and quality of our brand.
Reports to: General Manager or Front of House Manager on duty
Pay: This position starts at $11.35 per hour + tips
WHAT YOU'LL DO<ul><li>
Greet guests timely as they are seated at the bar; ensure bar is clean and that coasters, utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided</li><li>
Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered from guests and waitstaff</li><li>
Accurately and efficiently enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system</li><li>
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation and delivery</li><li>
Completion of all required bar prep, including but not limited to cutting fruit/garnish, making syrups, batching cocktails, etc.</li><li>
Maintains a clean, organized bar and ensures it is stocked with clean glassware</li><li>
Follows all Alcohol Service laws and is mindful of safe alcohol service, including checking photo IDs</li><li>
Processes guest payments by preparing checks and handling transactions through the POS system</li><li>
Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests, teammates, and management</li><li>
Change, move, and organize kegs as needed</li><li>
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and setting up the bar</li><li>
Assist with other side work duties such as cleaning the dining area, preparing silverware and refilling condiments</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned</li></ul>
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR<ul><li>
Must be at least 21 years of age</li><li>
Must have a passion for hospitality and craft beverages</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortability with discussing our products in detail with guests</li><li>
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment</li><li>
Experience with craft cocktails is desired</li><li>
Ability to operate the point-of-sale system (POS)</li><li>
At least one year of related experience required</li><li>
Prolonged periods standing and walking</li><li>
Must be able to lift and carry at least 60 pounds</li><li>
