Position Overview:</b> The Business Intelligence Analyst will support data strategy, build capabilities, and uncover insights to enhance brand performance. This role will provide analytical support and craft executive level summaries to ensure cross-departmental alignment and help drive category management strategies to assist with achieving company profitability goals.</div>

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:</b></div>

The New York Post Media Group is seeking a dynamic Content Analyst to join our innovative Data Science and Analytics Department. This role is perfect for a data professional who is passionate about media and wants to shape the future of content and news through data-driven insights. You will work directly with our audience development team and editorial staff at The California Post to analyze reader behavior, content performance, and market trends, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that guide our daily editorial decisions and long-term strategic direction.</div><div></div><div><i>

Key Responsibilities:</div><div>
Editorial Analytics &amp; Content Strategy</div><ul><li><div>
Analyze website traffic, reader engagement, and content performance metrics to identify trending topics and reader preferences</div></li><li><div>
Track article performance across different platforms (website, social media, newsletters) and provide insights on optimal publishing strategies</div></li><li><div>
Monitor competitor content and market trends to identify coverage opportunities and content gaps</div></li><li><div>
Assist the Data Science team in developing predictive models to forecast article performance and reader interest in emerging topics</div></li><li><div>
Create self-serve dashboards for editorial staff to track story performance and audience engagement</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Audience Development &amp; Engagement</div><ul><li><div>
Guide the activation of segmentation and analyze reader behavior patterns, and subscription conversion metrics</div></li><li><div>
Identify opportunities to grow and retain readership through data-driven content recommendations</div></li><li><div>
Analyze social media engagement and viral content patterns to optimize distribution strategies</div></li><li><div>
Track subscriber acquisition, retention, and churn rates to inform content and marketing strategies</div></li><li><div>
Develop A/B testing frameworks for headlines, article formats, and publishing schedules</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Business Intelligence &amp; Revenue Analytics</div><ul><li><div>
Analyze subscription patterns, advertising performance, and revenue metrics</div></li><li><div>
Track the effectiveness of paywall strategies and membership conversion rates</div></li><li><div>
Monitor email newsletter performance and reader engagement across different content formats</div></li><li><div>
Provide insights on content monetization opportunities and reader willingness to pay</div></li><li><div>
Support business development with market analysis and competitive intelligence</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Required Qualifications:</div><div>
Education &amp; Experience</div><ul><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field</div></li><li><div>
3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in media, publishing, or digital media</div></li><li><div>
Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with editorial and content teams</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Technical Skills</div><ul><li><div>
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Statistical analysis</div></li><li><div>
Expert-level skills in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)</div></li><li><div>
Strong programming skills in Python</div></li><li><div>
Experience with web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)</div></li><li><div>
Familiarity with Cloud Computing Environments like AWS, GCP, Azure</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Communication &amp; Editorial Skills</div><ul><li><div>
Exceptional ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations</div></li><li><div>
