We are seeking a highly motivated AI Engineering Intern with a passion for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data-driven development. You will work alongside our MassDOT Technology division&rsquo;s AI Engineering team to design, build, and deploy AI/ML applications and data pipelines using AWS services.</p><p>
This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience applying machine learning and AI techniques in a cloud-native environment.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p>
AI &amp; Machine Learning Responsibilities</p><ul><li>
Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and other machine learning models using AWS tools such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Lambda, and Deep Learning AMIs.</li><li>
Assist in the design and deployment of AI/ML-powered applications and intelligent automation workflows.</li><li>
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Research emerging AI/ML techniques and support experimentation and documentation of findings</li></ul><div></div><p><br>
Cross-Functional &amp; Application Support Responsibilities</p><ul><li>
Collaborate with stakeholders and application owners to gather and define business and technical requirements.</li><li>
Analyze existing workflows, identify opportunities for automation or improvement, and contribute to gap analyses.</li><li>
Assist with the development of project work plans, estimates, deliverables, and documentation.</li><li>
Create case scenarios and participate in the user acceptance testing (UAT) process.</li><li>
Document support tickets and ensure timely communication with business and IT stakeholders.</li><li>
Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and leadership to manage system enhancements and troubleshoot issues.</li><li>
Maintain clear documentation of current and future state system processes.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b>
