RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Use specialized services to identify new and emerging fraud trends and provide an enhanced focus on complex claims, high-risk claim exposures, such as organized crime-rings, Complex Financial Fraud Schemes, medical provider treatment fraud, medical provider billing fraud, Corporate Investigations, Case File Reviews, Anti-Fraud Consulting, and Criminal Conspiracies involving the insurance industry.</li><li>
Conduct complex Investigations across all lines of business in the insurance industry which may involve serious injuries, extensive damages, large scale or multi-party construction defect matters or complicated coverage issues.</li><li>
Analyze and interpret complex and voluminous evidence and convey highly technical information effectively to others.</li><li>
Prepare and submit detailed investigative reports as necessary and make investigative recommendations in accordance with all applicable fraud statutes, case law, and the policy contracts</li><li>
Assist clients as a subject matter expert/ expert witness, coordinate and attend Examinations Under Oath, and attend legal proceedings as required.</li><li>
Utilize the most advanced investigative techniques in the industry to include Analytics; Link Analysis; and Advanced Database and Social Media Analysis to assess suspected fraudulent claims or provider activity and create business intelligence reports that advance fraud identification and prevention efforts.</li><li>
Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement and prosecutors, Department of Insurances, NICB, other carrier SIU&rsquo;s</li><li>
Independently develop a strategic plan to achieve assignment objectives, ensuring thorough documentation and effective communication with clients and their Special Investigation Unit Supervisor</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):<ul><li>
Must possess one or more of the following:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field</li></ul></li><li>
A minimum of five years of complex criminal investigative experience as a criminal investigator, detective, and/or special agent in a full-time capacity, conducting fraud/economic related analysis. OR five (5) years of experience as a special investigator conducting insurance claim analysis and investigations with a carrier, third-party administrator and/or vendor contracted special investigations unit, plus one year conducting complex investigations.</li><li>

Manage FTZ admissions, withdrawals, transfers, and inventory movements within the zone. Ensure accurate classification, valuation, and country of origin determination for all FTZ merchandise. Prepare and submit required documentation (e.g., CBPF 214, 3461/7501 entries, e214 transmissions) through FTZ ICRS.</li><li>
Partner with logistics, warehouse, trade compliance, finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless FTZ operations. Provide guidance on FTZ procedures, controls, and process improvements. Coordinate with customs brokers and third-party service providers. Identify opportunities to optimize FTZ benefits, reduce duty exposure, and improve operational efficiency</li><li>
Develop, document, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li><li>
Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to processes</li><li>
Maintain FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system (ICRS) in accordance with regulatory requirements. Perform regular reconciliations between physical inventory and system records.</li><li>
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, or compliance issues. Support annual reconciliation and system reviews</li></ul>
General Trade Compliance:<ul><li>
Applies working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs.</li><li>
Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings.</li><li>
Provide analytical support related to CBP Requests for Information, Post-Entry Amendments and Prior Disclosures.</li><li>
Ensure timely and accurate response to Broker Requests for Information and follow-up to ensure resolution.</li><li>
Ensure proper classification, valuation, and origin determination for the site&rsquo;s imported goods, including non-commercial goods.</li><li>
Interface with related functional areas (logistics, purchasing, materials management, finance etc.) on customs matters and coordinate training for personnel in these areas, as needed.</li><li>
Provide analytical support, as needed, for reporting price adjustments, royalties, etc. via the CBP Reconciliation Prototype Program.</li><li>
Conduct effective and timely transactional review/audit of all import/export records. This includes auditing import entry documents for data accuracy, value, and receipt.</li><li>
Elevate issues requiring correction to manager.</li><li>
Provide analytical support to general import/export-related projects, as needed. Including the ability to track and measure metrics on data elements such as clearance times, delivery times, volume of shipments, and other import related topics.</li><li>
Train and educate on latest Customs, FDA, USDA and other participating government agency import regulations.</li><li>
Accountable for compliant importation and exportation of goods and services, including proper classification and valuation. Failure to comply is a violation of law and could result in significant fines or penalties.</li><li>
Provide support to all customs and trade responsibilities for US import, US exports and other global trade needs.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred</li><li>
Minimum 2-3 years&rsquo; experience in import/export operations, international business, or another related field.</li><li>
Detail oriented with strong analytic skills.</li><li>
Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are critical for this position.</li><li>
Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>
Familiar with manufacturing processes and medical equipment.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and power point.</li><li>
Experience with USHTS tariff analysis, origin and value determination.</li></ul>
