<div>Hero Practice Services is seeking Dental Assistant Externs to experience various facets of dental procedures completed in a pediatric office. Upon successful completion of externship hours, externs may be hired as a full-time dental assistant!
This position reports to the Operations Manager and is only open to students in an accredited dental assisting program.
This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.
Job Responsibilities<ul><li>
Keep track of all externship hours and timesheets</li><li>
Record patient charting and the dentist&rsquo;s notes in the digital patient chart, as directed by the dentist</li><li>
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and instruments, monitor schedule for efficiency, and educate patients on dental procedures</li><li>
Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment</li><li>
Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, employee handbook)</li><li>

<div>We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

Job Responsibilities
<ul><li>Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records</li>
<li>Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist</li>
<li>Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed</li>
<li>Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health</li>
