 Under the supervision of a dentist, provide prophylactic/preventative oral hygiene services to patients of the health center.

 Obtain complete medical histories for all new patients during the initial visit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Update complete medical histories at recall appointments. Any patient medical status change should be noted in the EDR at every visit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Take digital radiographs as appropriate and format them within the EDR.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform routine dental prophylaxis on adult and pediatric patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform scaling and root planning with local anesthesia as directed by a dentist.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide oral health education to patients during these visits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply sealants to teeth at risk for dental caries at the dentist's direction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Refer patients needing further restorative work or care of hard or soft tissue lesions to a dentist at the health center.

 Meet with the dentist to review complex cases or unusual situations concerning patients.
 </li>

 Ensure that notes in the EDR are complete and accurate.

 <li>
 Return signed encounter forms to PSR for billing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow and maintain proper infection control in the clinical areas. Help prepare instruments for sterilization, including sharpening hygiene instruments as needed.

 Participate in various health center activities and committees, including community outreach and patient education opportunities.
 </li>

 Assist in training and orienting new dental staff.
 </li>

 Work collaboratively with other health center staff in meeting regulatory and/or funding requirements.

 Associate, Bachelor, or Master&rsquo;s Degree in dental hygiene. Limited license dentist candidates who have an interest in preventive services may also be considered.

 Minimum of one year of experience.

 Maintain an active dental hygiene license or is eligible for licensing as a limited license dentist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) is an 10-bed unit that provides critical care nursing to complex cardiology patients. The types of patients that are frequently admitted include STEMIs, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, TAVRS (trans femoral aortic valve replacements) and patients with dysrhythmias.
POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
As a PCT in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our PCTs provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families. You will also work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul>

Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients in the Critical Care department and their families.</li>

 The Andzelm lab is focused on how both common and rare human genetic variation influences neuroinflammatory pathophysiology in collaborative work across Boston Children&rsquo;s Hospital and at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. We are recruiting a Research Assistant II to join ongoing exciting projects using iPSC-derived neural cells, next generation sequencing, and traditional wet lab work to examine genetic risk factors and mechanisms of neuroinflammation.
 
 
 The selected research assistant will make key intellectual and technical contributions to this project and will receive excellent training in being an independent, critical thinking scientist. Such training will be instrumental in preparing the candidate for their next career stage (such as medical school, graduate school, academic research positions, biotech research, and others).
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities

 Designing and performing a variety of laboratory assays and procedures that encompass molecular biology, iPSC culture and flow cytometry, among others.  Responsibilities include owning and proactively managing a demanding executive calendar with competing priorities; coordinating complex domestic and international travel with detailed itineraries and real-time adjustments; screening and prioritizing incoming communications and requests to protect executive time; preparing correspondence, presentations, and meeting materials with accuracy and urgency; facilitating internal and external meetings and ensuring executives are fully prepared; providing after-hours support for time-sensitive needs and travel changes; tracking follow-ups and key action items to ensure timely completion; and supporting special projects tied to executive and organizational priorities.

 The ideal candidate possesses 7+ years of experience supporting C‑suite or senior executives in financial services or similarly demanding environments; proven success managing high-volume calendars and travel with full autonomy; exceptional judgment, discretion, and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders; strong communication skills with the ability to push back appropriately and diplomatically; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint; a flexible, high-touch work style with comfort supporting urgent needs outside standard business hours; and outstanding attention to detail in fast-moving situations.
