Essential Job Functions
</b></div><ul><li>Preserve confidentiality of reports, documents, and records including personnel files, staffing and position control records, financial reports, project/proposal reports, financial plans, and operating strategies.</li><li>
Maintain regular contact with all levels of management and staff within the Medical Center, University, and Biological Sciences Division by gathering data, relaying messages, obtaining information, etc.</li><li>
Complete a wide range/variety of word processing/spreadsheet/power point/outlook scheduling tasks in final form, which are often confidential in nature and may require detailed proofreading and/or grammatical changes for accuracy.</li><li>
Work with all levels of UCMC and BSD leadership, as well as all levels of staff within the Medical Center to research issues and work on various project and committee assignments, as directed.</li><li>
Oversee daily operations, organize multiple tasks, and identify and implement methods of improving daily operations.</li><li>
Suggest functional or operational changes needed as part of service improvement; draft written policy/procedures for management review of these suggested changes.</li><li>
Complete and oversee specially assigned projects with minimal supervision in a timely and efficient manner.</li><li>
Coordinate with department team members in the regular ordering of supplies and the completion of work orders as needed.</li></ul><div><br>
 </div><div><b>Required Qualifications</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma required; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree strongly preferred.</li><li>
Minimum seven years of increasingly responsible administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a complex health care or professional office setting.</li><li>
Proven track record managing a complex calendar for a busy executive.</li><li>
Exceptional project management skills with efficient triage/problem solving skills along with strong proficiency in meeting/events coordination and management.</li><li>
Documented proficiency and advanced skills in a variety of computer software applications (including word processing, spread sheets, presentation applications); advanced skills in relation to Microsoft Office Suite products strongly preferred.</li><li>
A strong sense of patient engagement/customer service orientation in responding to the needs of internal and external customers. Must be able to independently and professionally interact with both internal and external customers to the healthcare system.</li><li>

Join the <b>University of Chicago Medicine</b> as an <b>Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)</b> for our <b>Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic (ORAC).</b></div><div></div><div><br>
The <b>Advanced Practice Provider</b> will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management and will manage patients by exercising autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments. The APP will provide healthcare and patient services that may include educational, research, and clinical support, as well as administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Cancer Service Line leadership. The APP has acquired the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to deliver high quality care to hematology/oncology patients.</div><div></div><div><br>
The <b>Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic (ORAC) i</b>s an APP-staffed clinic area that cares for cancer patients who require urgent, same day/next day assessment and treatment. Hematology Oncology often require acute care for symptoms of malignancy as well as for the toxicities and side effects of cancer treatments. After an orientation period, the APP will work autonomously and collaboratively with the rest of the ORAC APP team. The APP will utilize evidence based practice in close collaboration with University of Chicago heme/onc faculty, APPs, pharmacists and nurses. This candidate will be trained in the management of both hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, as well as oncologic emergencies (eg neutropenic fever, tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome, neurotoxicity due to therapeutic agents, DIC, HLH, sepsis, and cord compression).</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our Maternal Fetal Medicine department. The APP will be working outpatient with potential for inpatient rounding.</p><ul><li>
The APP will support the provision of maternal-fetal medicine care across the division's clinical practice, with a particular focus on providing full-scope prenatal care for patients who require transfer to MFM due to fetal needs (for example, in collaboration with the Chicago Institute for Fetal Health).</li><li>
Provide care of patients with gestational and type 2 diabetes mellitus, including collaborating with MDs and other APPs to conduct glucose monitoring and clinical care related to diabetes management during pregnancy.</li><li>
Perform cross-coverage with the postpartum MFM APP, and be involved in the comprehensive care of postpartum patients who receive care in the MFM practice.</li><li>
Develop and support new initiatives regarding patient transfers of care, including optimizing intake of transferred patients and supporting optimal communication to referring providers after pregnancy.</li></ul><p>
