DentaSmart is building a modern dental benefits and oral-health platform around a simple proposition:

Personal AI Dentist + Discounted Dental Network + Financing

Our Personal AI Dentist helps users understand and monitor their oral health, analyze dental X-rays and mouth images, review treatment plans, track their oral-health history, and get ongoing AI-powered guidance.

The DentaSmart Dental Benefits Plan combines the technology with discounted access to dental care and financing options. It is designed for individuals, families, employers, associations, unions, membership groups, and other organizations.

The Opportunity

DentaSmart is looking for a highly connected, entrepreneurial Chief Business Officer to work directly with the Founder & CEO to help fund and scale the company.

Fundraising is the #1 priority of this role.

We are particularly interested in candidates who come from the:

• Venture capital or investment community
• Entrepreneur and startup ecosystem
• Family office or angel-investor community
• Healthcare or digital-health investment ecosystem
• Dental, insurance, or employee-benefits industry

The ideal candidate already has a strong network of investors and can create meaningful introductions, build investor relationships, and help drive funding rounds from initial outreach through closing.

Beyond fundraising, this person will help build DentaSmart through partnerships, enterprise sales, distribution, and strategic growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising & Investor Relations

• Work directly with the CEO to lead DentaSmart’s current and future fundraising efforts.
• Activate an existing network of VCs, family offices, angels, strategic investors, healthcare investors, and entrepreneurs.
• Build and manage the investor pipeline from introduction through diligence and closing.
• Secure high-quality investor meetings and strategic introductions.
• Help refine the investment story, pitch, financial narrative, valuation strategy, and fundraising materials.
• Develop long-term relationships with investors who can contribute capital, industry access, customers, and strategic partnerships.
• Support investor updates, Board communications, and future funding rounds.
• Represent DentaSmart within startup, investor, healthcare, dental, and entrepreneurial communities.

Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

Build relationships with:

• Dental and health insurance companies
• Benefits plans and administrators
• Benefits brokers and consultants
• Self-insured employers
• PEOs
• Associations
• Unions
• Employer groups
• Membership and affinity organizations
• Dental networks
• Healthcare and dental technology companies
• Strategic distribution partners

Identify opportunities for distribution, enterprise adoption, co-selling, referrals, embedded benefits, and strategic alliances.

B2B & B2B2C Growth

Help sell DentaSmart to:

• Self-insured employers
• Insurance companies and payers
• Businesses
• Associations
• Unions
• Employer groups
• Benefits brokers
• PEOs
• Membership organizations

Build opportunities for both the Personal AI Dentist platform and the broader DentaSmart Dental Benefits Plan.

The benefits plan can be sold directly to individuals and families as well as distributed through employers, brokers, associations, unions, and other organizations.

Commercial Strategy

• Help define DentaSmart’s overall business and growth strategy.
• Identify the highest-value markets, partnerships, and distribution channels.
• Develop pricing, partnership structures, revenue models, and channel economics.
• Help negotiate and close major commercial agreements.
• Build repeatable partnership and enterprise-sales processes.
• Work closely with the existing digital team on positioning, lead generation, campaigns, and growth strategy.
• Bring customer, partner, and investor feedback into company strategy and product direction.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong existing network of investors, entrepreneurs, VCs, family offices, or strategic investors.
• Meaningful experience raising capital or working directly within the investment or startup ecosystem.
• Ideally has previously been an entrepreneur, investor, venture partner, operating executive, or senior business-development leader.
• 10+ years of experience in business development, investing, healthcare, insurance, employee benefits, dental, digital health, or related industries.
• Strong executive network and ability to secure senior-level meetings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and close strategic partnerships.
• Experience working with employers, insurers, brokers, benefits organizations, or enterprise healthcare buyers is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of B2B and B2B2C business models.
• Excellent fundraising, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable operating in an early-stage company and creating opportunities from scratch.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a connector, fundraiser, dealmaker, and builder.

The strongest candidate may come from the investor or entrepreneurial community and already knows the people DentaSmart needs to meet.

This person should be equally comfortable:

• Calling a VC or family office
• Pitching DentaSmart to an investor
• Introducing the company to a strategic investor
• Meeting a Fortune 500 benefits executive
• Building a national broker relationship
• Negotiating an insurance or benefits partnership
• Opening doors with associations and unions
• Helping close a major enterprise customer

This is not a traditional corporate executive role.

We want someone who can create opportunities, build relationships, raise capital, and help turn DentaSmart into a significant business.

First-Year Priorities

• Help successfully complete DentaSmart’s fundraising round.
• Build a strong and active investor pipeline.
• Expand DentaSmart’s network within the VC, entrepreneur, family-office, and healthcare investment communities.
• Secure strategic investors who can also create commercial opportunities.
• Build relationships with benefits brokers, insurers, employers, associations, unions, and distribution partners.
• Secure initial self-insured employer and payer relationships.
• Expand distribution of the DentaSmart Dental Benefits Plan.
• Help create a repeatable B2B and B2B2C growth engine.
• Support DentaSmart’s transition from an early-stage company into a scalable national business.

Competitive executive package including:

• Base salary

Compensation will reflect the candidate’s investor network, fundraising track record, industry relationships, and ability to create meaningful business growth.

Pay: $120,858.04 - $157,377.42 per year
