About This Role</b></h2><p>
LiveKit is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with customers building real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform.</p><p>
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and customer implementation. Forward Deployed Engineers partner closely with customers to design systems, prototype solutions, and solve complex technical challenges as teams move from experimentation to production.</p><p>

Responsibilities</b></h2><ul>
<li>Serve as the lead developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows (e.g., multi-agent systems, model context protocol (MCP) servers) that drive measurable return on investment.</li>
<li>Architect and code the &quot;connective tissue&quot; between Google&rsquo;s AI products and customer's live infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data silos, and security perimeters.</li>
<li>Build high-performance evaluation (Eval) pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure agentic systems meet rigorous requirements for accuracy, safety, and latency.</li>
<li>Identify repeatable field patterns and technical &quot;friction points&quot; in Google&rsquo;s AI stack, converting them into reusable modules or formal product feature requests for the Engineering teams.</li>

About the Role</b></p><p>
As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you&rsquo;ll work directly with enterprise customers to deliver custom, production-ready AI solutions that solve real-world problems. You&rsquo;ll lead the design and deployment of intelligent agents across customer workflows&mdash;owning everything from discovery and prototyping to configuration, testing, and launch.</p><p>

Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)</li><li>
Familiarity with building LLM applications, RAG systems, or conversational AI workflows</li><li>
Experience integrating with enterprise systems via APIs or middleware (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle)</li><li>
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions&mdash;and deliver them fast</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills; you&rsquo;re just as comfortable on a whiteboard with a customer as you are in code</li><li>
