Overview</b></p><div>
The Seattle Public Library (SPL) is a dynamic urban library system that consists of the Central Library, 26 neighborhood libraries, and Mobile Services. The Community Engagement and Economic Development Department (CEED) department oversees system-wide programming, outreach, and community engagement, and is home to the Library Equal Access Program (LEAP).</div><div></div><div><br>
The LEAP LAIV position supports the expansion and continued delivery of library services, programs and resources for patrons with disabilities. This position reports to the LEAP Supervising Librarian and also works closely with the CEED Manager and the Outreach and Mobile Services Assistant Managing Librarian. This 64 hour/pay period position is based in the Central Library and also works at locations throughout Seattle.</div><div></div><div><br>
The position provides support to library patrons with disabilities around access to library services, provides basic training and support on the use of assistive technology and coordinates with volunteers or partner agencies to support more in-depth training on assistive technology. The position represents the library at events and on committees and is responsible for maintaining existing community partnerships and working with others in the department to develop new relationships with outside organizations.</div></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Job Responsibilities</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><div><ul><li>Provide support to patrons during staffed &ldquo;drop-in&rdquo; hours for the LEAP assistive technology lab.</li><li>
Support planning and implementation of programs and services for LEAP patrons including supporting accessibility of virtual, hybrid and in-person programming and access to assistive technology.</li><li>
Facilitate and support the development of outreach activities for youth and adults with disabilities.</li><li>
Collaborate with colleagues throughout the system on projects that are relevant to LEAP&rsquo;s patrons and the goals of LEAP.</li><li>
Support engagement with partner organizations including government agencies, nonprofits, and education programs.</li><li>
Represent the Library at community events, meetings and other engagement activities with internal and external partners.</li><li>
Support programming within LEAP and CEED by staffing events and providing operational support to LEAP programs such as the Low Vision Book Group, and other on and offsite programs.</li><li>
Share information about LEAP and supportive services with library staff through maintenance of SharePoint site, presentations in unit meetings, and other platforms.</li><li>
Develop expert knowledge of LEAP services, policies, and programs.</li><li>
Coordinate digital literacy activities for LEAP. This may include individual and group training, engagement with partner agencies who provide training, and development of curricula in the use of assistive and general computer technology for people with disabilities.</li><li>
Provide operational support to LEAP and CEED. This includes but is not limited to: tracking program and participant data, contributing to periodic descriptive and evaluative reports, purchasing goods and services, and ensuring the effective use of resources by tracking expenditures.</li><li>
Act as lead on bookmobile runs, providing reader&rsquo;s advisory, reference and circulation services.</li></ul></div></div><p></p>

<p></p><div><ul><li><b>Experience:</b> Minimum of 2 years of experience working with people with disabilities and knowledge of relevant community services and resources.</li><li><b>
Communication and interpersonal skills</b>: Excellent written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience speaking in front of midsized audiences (for example: delivering presentations, instruction, facilitating groups). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflict, problem-solve creatively, and work effectively in a team setting with both internal and external stakeholders. The ability to exercise tact and diplomacy during difficult conversations and when resolving conflict.</li><li><b>
Judgment, initiative, leadership</b>: Demonstrated experience independently managing responsibilities with minimal supervision, exercising initiative, and being flexible and resourceful when faced with new challenges or situations. Engineer and standardize reusable security patterns for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role provides approved patterns for services, allowing application teams to utilize pre-approved service and API patterns without requiring them to threat model cloud services when developing application threat models.<br>

<p><b>Primary Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li><b>Backlog Execution: </b>Conduct deep-dive threat model reviews for an immediate backlog of 22 cloud services.
</li><li><b>Pattern Engineering: </b>Develop modular, &quot;Lego-brick&quot; threat models for cloud services and API patterns, defining mandatory security controls and standardized use cases.
</li><li><b>Stakeholder Defense: </b>Schedule threat model reviews (TMRs) for cloud services. Present and defend service threat models in formal threat model reviews (TMRs) with the Boeing Enterprise Security (BES) to defend and secure approval for standardized patterns.
</li><li><b>Additional Reviews: </b>For services that require changes to environment perimeters, coordinate with landing zone architects to update landing zone architecture standards, schedule reviews, and review changes with the Secure Perimeter Review Board (SPRB) reviews.
</li><li><b>Technical Research: </b>Perform manual analysis using TrustOnCloud research libraries to identify Cloud Service Provider (CSP) specific threats and configuration requirements. Work with CSP subject matter experts to develop service threat models when necessary.<br>

<p><b>Secondary Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li><b>Library Stewardship: </b>Manage repository of approximately 200 service and API threat models.
</li><li><b>Governance &amp; Maintenance: </b>Execute a manual biennial (2-year) refresh cycle for all models in the library to ensure continued alignment with CSP updates and feature releases.<br>

<p><b>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
</b></p><ul><li><b>Throughput: </b>Following a 1-month ramp-up and shadowing/training period, complete a minimum of 3 service threat model reviews per month.
</li><li><b>Backlog Resolution: </b>Clear the initial 22-service backlog within approximately 8 months of the completion of the training period.
</li><li><b>Maintenance Compliance: </b>Maintain 100% adherence to the biennial manual refresh schedule for the 200-pattern library.<br>

<p><b>Required Qualifications
</b></p><ul><li><b>Experience: </b>5+ years in cloud security architecture or threat modeling.
</li><li><b>Technical Depth: </b>Expert knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP managed services and the Shared Responsibility Model.
</li><li><b>Analytical Skill: </b>Proven ability to synthesize complex technical data (e.g., TrustOnCloud reports) into concise, executable security standards.
</li><li><b>Communication: </b>Ability to negotiate and defend technical security positions to central risk and compliance stakeholders.<br>
