Positions across the Civil Enforcement Program may be filled in response to this ad. In particular:
 
Anti-Monopoly and Collusion Enforcement Section enforces antitrust laws in civil nonmerger matters across a broad range of industries, with recent experience in advertising technology, smartphones, and consumer meat products. ACE focuses on high priority conduct matters to ensure that the statutory timing demands of merger cases do not overtake the Division’s ability to move forward with key civil conduct investigations and litigations.
 
Defense, Industrials, and Aerospace Section enforces antitrust laws in the defense, avionics and aeronautics, industrial equipment, metals and mining, and waste industries.
 
Financial Services, Financial Technology, and Banking Section enforces antitrust laws in the financial, banking, real estate, ticket distribution, and publishing industries.
 
Healthcare and Consumer Products Section enforces antitrust laws in healthcare and consumer products, including apparel, appliances, beer, cosmetics, dairy, and paper among others. Protecting competition in healthcare is one of the Division’s top priorities. Job Description
 
Trial attorneys in the Division’s Civil Enforcement Program are responsible for a wide range of investigative, litigation, and trial work. They may review mergers, conduct pre-complaint investigations, engage in post-complaint litigation, and participate in trials. Trial attorneys are also frequently responsible for building relationships with other federal, state, and international enforcers and for advocacy to ensure innovative and competitive marketplaces. Trial attorneys in the Civil Enforcement Program frequently grapple with challenging cases involving complex technologies, rapidly changing industries, rising barriers to entry, and evolving regulatory landscapes.

Job Description
 
As a Trial Attorney in the Appellate Section, the incumbent will:
 
Handle criminal cases in the U.S. Courts of Appeals, including briefing and oral arguments. Cases include those prosecuted by U.S. Attorneys' Offices and other litigating sections in the Criminal Division.
 Draft briefs in merits cases before the Supreme Court, either as a party or an amicus, for the Solicitor General. This includes attending moot courts and oral arguments with attorneys from the Solicitor General's Office.
 Write memoranda recommending whether to seek further review of adverse decisions in criminal cases.
 Draft briefs for the Solicitor General in opposition to certiorari petitions in the Supreme Court.
 Prepare and argue pleadings in significant district court cases.
 Provide advice to Department leadership and U.S. Attorneys' Offices on a variety of complex substantive issues.
 Qualifications
 
Required Qualifications: Interested applicants must possess a J.D., or equivalent, degree, be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of any State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia, and be an active member of the bar in good standing.
 
Grade Specific Qualifications: 
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one and a half (1.5) years post J.D. legal experience, one of which was specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-12 grade level. Job Description
 
Duties of a Deputy Director, include:

 Collaborating with the management team to implement and refine enforcement strategies and priorities;

The Second Amendment Section is charged with enforcing the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens. The Section investigates alleged patterns or practices of Second Amendment infringement by law enforcement, and files statements of interest when cases in litigation affect the interests of the United States.
 
The Appellate Section works with the Division's trial sections to represent the United States in civil rights cases in the federal courts of appeals. Many of the Section's cases are appeals from district court judgments in cases originally handled by the Division's trial sections.
 
The Criminal Section, one of the oldest of the Civil Rights Division's sections, enforces federal criminal laws that date to the post-Civil War Reconstruction Era.
 
The Disability Rights Section works to achieve equal opportunity for people with disabilities by implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). DRS has a central role in enforcement, regulation, and technical assistance under the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504).

The Voting Section enforces the civil provisions of federal statutes designed to safeguard the right to vote of all American citizens, including the Voting Rights Act, Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, National Voter Registration Act, Help America Vote Act, and Civil Rights Acts.
 
Qualifications
 
Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
