Overview:<br>

Cares for medical equipment and supplies and monitors sterilization of appropriate equipment.</p><p>

Job Summary</b></p>
Under the direct supervision of a physician, Medical Director and/or Nurse Manager/Nurse Coordinator performs all tasks delegated to assist with delivery of care to patients within the Medical Dermatology and Dermatology Surgery Units.<br>

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<ul><li>Reviews the daily schedule to ensure that all appropriate preparations are in place to facilitate efficient clinic flow. Anticipates changes and adjusts as needed according to variations in clinic operations.
</li><li>Set-up treatment area for skin biopsies, dermatologic surgery, cosmetic procedures as needed.</li><li>Escorts patients from reception area into exam rooms, prepares patients for physical exams, surgical procedure and/or post-operative follow-up. Including: vital signs, pressure bandage, and EMR documentation.</li><li>Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection according to hospital policies.
</li><li>Photographs patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photogenic procedures, techniques, and equipment.
</li><li>Assists physicians with surgical procedures including Mohs surgery, excisions and subsequent repairs while supporting and maintaining use of sterile technique.</li><li>Ensures exam/procedure rooms are cleaned and restocked with appropriate supplies daily.</li><li>Participates in quality assurance activities in the department, with respect to patient care.</li><li>Participates in orientation and onboarding of new staff members.

Compensation Range:</b></p>
$16.35- $22.84<p>
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
