The Transport Driver is responsible for driving the facility vehicle to transport residents to desired destinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li> Provides physical assistance to each participant when needed as he/she boards and disembarks from the program&rsquo;s vehicles.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Ensures that emergency medical information is available for those participants being transported.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintains the first aid kit in the vehicle, replacing supplies as they are used or become outdated.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Ensures that all passengers wear safety belts and wheelchairs are locked into position.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintains vehicle in neat and clean condition anticipating needed mechanical service so appointments can be arranged that are convenient to program operations.
</li></ul><ul><li> Keeps vehicle maintenance records current; coordinate and schedule routine and episodic vehicle maintenance.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Reports to Supervisor any vehicle operating problems, malfunctions or incidents out of the ordinary routine.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintains accurate daily records of number of trips, individuals transported, miles and gallons of gas.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Compiles all necessary information to meet reporting requirements.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Transports participants to and from physician or other medical appointments, as requested</li></ul>
<ul><li> Assists with program activities by transporting participants to an event, as coordinated by the activities manager.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Lifts patients in and out of bed, chairs, taxis and ambulances to move them to and from treatment areas and procedure rooms.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Transports medical equipment, supplies, documents and laboratory specimens to designated treatment, diagnostic and patient care areas.</li></ul> 


QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li> 1+ year in experience in a healthcare setting preferred</li></ul>
<ul><li> CPR/BLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire</li></ul>
<ul><li> Clean driving record</li></ul>
<ul><li> Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li></ul>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Transport meals, meal carts, and necessary equipment between DO & CO facilities, third-party vendors, and the airport.</li>
<li>Load and unload aircraft in compliance with DO & CO and airline regulations, specifications, and equipment handling procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure all flights are catered correctly and on time.</li>
<li>Serve DO & CO’s airline clients and handle airline equipment efficiently and safely.</li>
<li>Conduct pre- and post-checks on vehicles, maintain them in full working condition, and report any irregularities to dispatch immediately.</li>
<li>Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations as well as applicable rules and regulations.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL driver.</li>
<li>Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B).</li>
<li>Airbrake endorsement required.</li>
<li>All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR §1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.</li>
<li>Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving products, equipment, and supplies up to 75 pounds.</li>
<li>Ability to work at heights of up to 20–25 feet.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and ensure clarity and understanding among co-workers.</li>
<li>Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.</li>
